Okay okay so: After so many exy rackets to the head and hits to the eyes, Jean’s eyesight is BAD. he got used to playing like that because he had no choice, so when he comes out of the Nest (which would also strain his eyes from dark all the time to bright light) he is B L I N D. Also, tetsuji would have def paid ppl to accommodate jean in class so he doesn’t notice bc he doesn’t wanna spend time or money on getting him glasses. When he initially gets to USC for summer training, 1/2

jeremy has learned new Things about himself since jean got his glasses. every time he sees him wearing them, his mind goes into over drive. jeremy and jean having a conversation from different ends of the locker room when jeremy looks up and pauses mid sentence bc jean’s all sweat slicked back hair from practice and those fucking glasses just make him look ten times hotter and jeremy isn’t sure how much longer he can handle this
eventually, jeremy shows jean how to wear contacts for his own peace of mind
(after they get over the pining stage and start dating, jeremy accidentally lets it slip one day that he finds jean incredibly sexy when he’s wearing his glasses. jeremy comes back to the dorm one day after class to find jean reading on his bed, glasses perched on his nose. jeremy, naturally, throws his backpack on the floor and launches himself at jean (jean starts wearing his glasses every time they’re alone in the dorm))
