My “everyday is a holiday” 2019 calendar had a troubling celebration scheduled for today. I challenge you to COMPLETELY IGNORE IT! We are going to (un?)officially change today’s holiday to: CHECK UP ON YOUR RESOLUTION PROGRESS DAY! Do I have the power to do such things nationally? Of course I do not. However, I do happen to wield the power to do whatever the heck I feel like on a personal level — and so do you! Will you join me in celebrating our new holiday? My check in: How are my #writingresolutions going? I was about to type “not so great,” but then I remembered that I DID already accomplish one goal — sketching out an outline for my new #YAlit project! So there, January 17th! You are tricky! Catching me when I haven’t been at peak performance for a couple of days in a row! Making me believe that trashing resolutions is a national pastime! But NO! I refuse! I will forge on! #slowandsteady taking one day at a time and using MY ENTIRE YEAR to work on a resolution! Your turn: check in. Share your progress. Ask for the support you need to get to the next step. #youvegotthis. .... Also, if you are looking for a creative reboot for this year, I highly recommend Julia Cameron’s #TheArtistsWay — in fact, I love it so much I am hosting a giveaway of the book through my #stopwritingalone newsletter! If you are interested in being a part of the giveaway (it ends at the end of February), follow the link in the profile. You’ll also get access to my #writingresolution worksheet in case your check-in reveals that you need help making a resolution that sticks! (Note: If you are already subscribed to the newsletter, 1. THANK YOU!, and 2. Congrats! You are already entered into the giveaway!) #checkin #findyourwritingpeeps #writingcommunity #stopwritingalone #writersofinstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/BsvYXc_Ativ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1vssub3hhgy7d
