Those were done for you to feel a sense of belonging

I felt stagnant it's the same move I'm constant

I need space regardless of you taking off

I wasn't quite ready for your love unconditional

Things were too unusual

Too spaced out, the pressure was on me to care

I understood clearly your demands

In that first conversation, we were one with the land

Down and out, you smiled, and I was a flirt

Down to earth we both only wanted the moment

So far, love has missed the signs

As you sigh the warning without words in your eyes

Too much at stake, you left it up to my choice

I was afraid and decided danger was why we’d stayed

As it turns out look at you in disbelief

Blaming me for staying though I wouldn't have let you leave

I'll accept the claim; I won't be mistaken for a saint

Too much love in the room, why are you in pain

This may not be what we wanted, but it was our wish

It was without words, a message of exchanging gift

The position you took left me vulnerable

I still need change, because the changes made you miserable
