Types Of Writing:

Prompts: These are usually less than 500 words, and they feature a specific sentence that was offered up as a choice on a prompt list. Imagines: There are usually two types of these; a) the kind that is just an “Imagine…” and a picture or gif(s) and b) the kind that says “Imagine…” and then follows with a short piece of writing, usually somewhere between 250-1000 words.One Shot: This is usually a single piece of writing, typically over 500 words. It can be as short as that, or as long as 10,000+ words. Sometimes sequels are posted, sometimes it’s final. One and done!Two Shot: Basically the same thing as above, just with two parts. Mini-Series: This is usually when you go above two parts. In my writing, I consider a mini-series to be between three parts and ten parts. Series/Multi-Chapter/Multi-Part: And this is the big one, writing that usually adds up to be over 20,000+ words and over ten parts/chapters.

Writing POV’s:

X-Readers: These are usually always done with a (Y/N) in place of the character’s name, and sometimes even characteristics (Y/E/C= Your Eye Color, etc). Sometimes they’re gender neutral, sometimes they are gender specific. OC/OFC/OMC: Original Characters (Original Female/Original Male). These are developed characters with names, backgrounds, attributes, hobbies, preferences, personalities, etc. Usually developed by the author, or a co-author. Pronoun Characters: These are what I typically use in place of the X-Reader type. Where it’s either a first or second POV narration, using pronouns and trying to avoid too many explicit physical characteritic descriptions.
