So five min sketches with the clock on have been really helpful for me lately (more coming by the way! Thanks for the prompts!)
… But. What if I tried a twenty-five minute chapter draft. Hm?

🍒🐧My friend and I are reading at the library. I'm finally back to @tealin's Worst Journey graphic novel, and I am delighted to find the last quarter of the book is copious, copious footnotes on the majority of the panels (this thing has been goldenly researched!)
And apparently we are to understand that Cherry wrote his whole enormous book paragraph by paragraph on index cards, and sent them on to a typist? That's one way to do it! (Perhaps it would make it less daunting and easier to focus on the specific paragraph at hand? Very clearly dividing it into little chunks, very steadily seeing your stacks grow. Possibly very motivating.)
You may be on to something, Cherry. Maybe in your honour I should write a short story in this wise, and then type 'em up on my typewriter?
