this is the part you don’t remember: you had parents who loved you, once. a father who held you close and told everyone who would listen about his precious baby girl, a mother who gave you her own mother’s name and rocked you to sleep against her chest. you had them and you lost them — no, they were stolen from you. or perhaps you were stolen from them, or maybe you never had any of that and the vague traces of warmth at the fringes of your memory are just wishful thinking, a way to escape this house that feels more like a prison and the name you know is not really your own.

Welcome back, Skip! You know how much I love Birdie so I was so excited to hear you write a second character and, of course, you didn't disappoint! Nova--known solely like their name like Cher or Madonna--is bound to be equally as iconic in the roleplay.

she’s a bright little thing, they say, a canary in the coal mine, red-gold hair glowing in the summer sun. birdie (or berdy, or burdee, or any number of variations - the spelling of a name matters not at all to mountain folk) grows up poor but loved, born to a mining family with no mine to work. the o’learys do their best for their children, little birdie and her big brother bear, and even without the mine they manage alright.

Skip, I cannot wait for birdie on the dash! Not to mention your lived experience in appalachia will be such a huge asset to this roleplay and I’m honored that you decided to join the rp with us! Congratulations and welcome to narrativefm!
