I’d recommend this song if you like bands like “Waterparks”, “All Time Low”, "Weathers”, “Palaye Royale” “Fall out Boy” “Sleeping with Sirens”.
Write Home, an alternative-rock band from Ottawa, Ontario. They only have 56,683 views on this music video, released on February 16, 2018, I completely take full responsibility for approximately 100 views as I can’t stop playing this song.
In all honesty, whenever I head this song I feel like I’m in the middle of Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior when she is training her ass off just to be the best. Like life’s moving so fast then abruptly everything slows down and I have a grasp of reality again. Or I feel like this could be a backing track in a movie where the main character is running around trying to save themselves. I know it sounds stupid but honestly I just feel that way listening to this song.
The lyrics alone when you read them are filled with emotion, when the song says, “longing for prosperity ashore, i’m anchored to this dream, I drown at sea.” through a literary sense, I can’t help but feel as this resembles a cry for help in a way, like you want something so much that you are willing to do anything but despite all attempts you learn that sometimes staying where you are is where you are meant to be even if it’s fucking hell at the time, but when you meet someone, they are the person bringing you home, bringing you peace and happiness, they make everything easier without changing a single thing.
