🌸 Why I Love Writing Letters 🌸
There's something wonderfully calming about writing a letter.
In a world where most conversations happen through screens, taking the time to sit down with a piece of paper and a favourite pen feels incredibly special. It encourages me to slow down, gather my thoughts, and write with intention.
A handwritten letter isn't just a message. It's a keepsake.
Whether it's wishing someone a happy birthday, thanking a friend, or simply letting someone know they're in my thoughts, a letter feels far more personal than a quick text message. Every word is chosen carefully, and every page carries a little piece of the person who wrote it.
I also love that letters can be treasured for years. They can be tucked inside a drawer, kept in a memory box, or rediscovered long after they've been written. Reading an old letter has a way of bringing back moments that might otherwise have been forgotten.
Writing letters has become one of my favourite quiet rituals. I make a cup of coffee or tea, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy the simple act of putting pen to paper. It's a chance to pause for a while and appreciate the slower moments in life.
I know handwritten letters aren't as common as they once were, but perhaps that's exactly what makes them so meaningful today. Receiving one feels like receiving a small gift. It represents the time, thought, and care someone has invested in another person.
For me, writing letters is about connection, kindness, and creating memories that last far beyond the moment they are written.
Maybe that's why I'll never stop writing them.
