I realize something and its how badly people misuse "Death of the Author"
It doesn't mean "I can make whatever I want canon because I'm the viewer", it means "the author can end up saying things they did not intend to say in their works"
So, while the creator of a work might intend to say something like... "be yourself", it might accidentally validate racism. Even if it was unintended
got jumpscared today because i saw some art of a character from some visual novel i know nothing about that looked a LOT like a character from my source but human and it baffled me. didn’t help that his brother (? i think i literally do not know that media at all) had sort of similar vibes to my guy’s brother. it was so confusing like… hi… same guy… waving from across the ocean to dramatical murders kinnies. did you guys knows you have a guy that looks vaguely like one of my guys - underswap papyrus #🍯🫁

I feel bad for them too. I discovered this little track at the onset of the pandemic...somehow they were able to keep racing. I've followed and bet on the track ever since. Track announcer/handicapper/racing secretary John Lies is one of the best in the business.
