what he said! i think it was just an easy way to list ideologies and opinions, like you both mentioned. if i walk what i talk why would i need that? and youâre right about the worst kind of people not caring about them. (esp people with âdonât follow if ur a porn botâ like theyâre gonna read it)
âdonât follow if you ship X! ask to follow if you ship X!â mine was never that bad butâŚ.yikesÂ
lmao the bot ones always get me, too. I donât think people realise that bots are like... not human. they were programmed by a human but do what theyâre programmed to after that. no human is interacting with the blog at all, and the bot is physically incapable of reading your byf. they donât even go on your blog: you type a phrase or word that tells the bot to execute a command to follow. no interaction takes place. but truly, if you live your ideologies and opinions you should havenât to list them. i resent the attitude on this site that if youâre not constantly talking about your ideologies then you canât possibly believe them.

Had a friend who followed someone without reading the byf or whatever, person essentially started just making âcall out postsâ @ her bc sheâs a lesbian and lesbians were against the persons byf so clearly she did it out of malice????
Iâve seen things like this happen, too. people have been called out/harassed, even though nearly all byfs are inaccessible from mobile. in a lot of cases byfs are used as a prime way of gathering victims for âcall out cultureâ. you can feel like an activist by getting your followers to send hate to the ableist! even though in this case the âableistâ is a 15 year old on mobile who didnât read your 300-point list of âacceptableâ followers.

why are people like this (also how do they expect mobile users to comply lol)
exactly. mobile users wonât see it at all, which complicates things. though I did notice your own mobile header is a strong demand that nobody reblogs your personal posts without permission, which leads me to have to ask:Â you yourself are one of the people who gets very irritated with people reblogging personal posts that you have posted publicly, even if itâs a generic post or people are responding with advice youâve specifically asked for. I was wondering if you see that as overly different to this? because to be honest itâs not -- if you donât want people reblogging your posts, you shouldnât post them publicly. the internet just does not work that way.
