Smith Dist. Ltd. Publisher(s): Ottenheimer Publisher, Inc. Story: A little lost worm asks Boo Boo for help.     Good/Bad: The artwork is solid, the pop-ups not overly complicated. The few page nature of pop-up books means the story is exceedingly simple. At least this copy of this book  is printed in Cali, Colombia, South America, and of the 4 others I saw listed online (when I first posted this to Tumblr Jan 2017), only one listed where it was printed, and it also was South America. There do not appear to be a ton of these around. After Western Publishing gave up the Hanna Barbera license, Ottenheimer Publishing apparently picked it up, so that is in keeping with everything else, but the Copyright being W.H. Smith instead of Hanna Barbera is just bizarre. Also, this feels like Boo Boo should get the title instead of Yogi, like with the V.I.V. book. This might very well be one of the most common and recognisable caterpillars in South Africa - but they are always suprisingly and strikingly beautiful. This is a Bunaea alcinoe, the Cabbage Tree Emperor. They grow up to 70mm in length. They look very scary with their black and white spikes and orange dots, but they are in fact not poisonous, or venomous. The Cabbage Tree Emperor moth is large with a 130mm wingspan. They have bright orange, black and white 'eye spots' on their hind wings. Which is quite efficient at detering predators. Although this caterpillar is not of medical significance to humans, one needs to still be cautious at handling them. The risk of skin irritation is always present. The Cabbage Tree Emperor caterpillar has many host plants, including (but not limited to) Cussonia, Ekebergia and Bauhinia.
