So far, Shinji has figured out that he definitely isn’t in Tokyo-3. He knows his name and who his parents were. He could faintly recall massive creatures, and some other horrifying images--though they were so gruesome and unreal, perhaps it all came from some kind of nightmare.
It’s possible he could have died, but that seemed unlikely given the fact that everything hurt. Where did all of these scars come from...? They didn’t look to be very old. He couldn’t possibly think of anything that could do this to him...
And it’s freezing! This is definitely the first time Shinji had experienced snow, or winter for that matter. He found himself at the community center. It looked familiar, but it must have been a lucky guess. He had never been here before, after all.
He kicked the snow off of his shoes when something familiar caught his attention on the coat rack--that’s his jacket. Maybe someone found it and turned it in, like a lost and found? Slipping it on, Shinji made his way over to one of the couches, flopping over the arm rest and onto his stomach. Maybe he could hang out here for now, until someone shows up or until he gets bored; whichever comes first.
