I am once again setting up a new workout plan. 😅
I have decided that for now we will do home workouts (we have some weights and stuff, and of course access to outside which is very underrated). Once we get back in the swing of things and it starts to be lighter later, I will pay for a gym membership again. We like going to gym, but it's been hard with it being dark by the time we get home.
Any of the lifts in the plan can be exchanged for the same movement (push/pull and muscle group combo).
So with the first day of the week being Monday:
1. Upper Body
Shoulder Press
One Arm Rows
Push Ups
Lateral Raises
Curls
2. Lower Body
Goblet Squats
RDL
Glute Bridges
Reverse Lunges
Wall Sit
3. Rest/Mobility
Any combo of nothing, stretching, walking, breathing work, gentle yoga, etc
4. Upper Body
DB Floor Press
Band Rows
Plank
Hammer Curls
Tricep Extensions
5. Lower Body and Movement
Bodyweight Squats
Bridge March
Sumo Squat
March in Place
Walking/Stairclimbing/Etc
6. Wild Card
Any workout thing. Could be any of the days, or whatever.
There are a couple other things included. We will still aim for our steps goal (7000 steps). It isn't a lot, but we work a desk job, so it isn't easy to hit. We will also try to walk/bike to more places in general. I also have a plan of how I can get more steps in while I'm at work too. We generally do not take our lunch breaks where I work, but it is not strictly frowned upon to take them, so I will take more time at lunch and walk.
To update our progress on steps I will be doing two types of posts. I will post the updates to whatever our current conquerers challenge is, as well as a rating on our step count for the day (9,000+,7000+,5000+,-5000). I will include info how I normally do, like what impacted our results and stuff.
Also, there are a few things we want to do to just increase our movement throughout the day, such as doing a few reps of bodyweight stuff when presented with the chance, stretches, working at our desk standing, and doing things to increase our neat.
So for now, you should see me updating every day what we did, even if I was not the one to do the workout (see the tags for who did it).
Please call me out if I have not posted. @crimsonwonder
