Two Alberta-based companies are appealing Ontario labour ministry decisions that say they charged temporary foreign workers tens of thousands of dollars to be placed in retail jobs at a Canadian Tire. The companies were ordered to repay almost $165,000. Some of the workers were originally from the Philippines but ended up at a Canadian Tire in Etobicoke, Ont. Though they said they each paid up to $7,900 US to an Alberta company to get the position, once they got the jobs, they say they were underpaid and poorly treated. Many of the workers quit and found jobs in Atlantic Canada and other provinces around the country.

Well, it finally happened! The Voyager crew found a nice planet to settle down on, and now they’ve got regular jobs like the rest of us. No more hopeless mission to get back to Earth, and no more pointless exploration… is this really the Voyager crew? Well yes, but they no longer remember their former lives. They’ve been kidnapped and mind wiped to solve a labour shortage! That’s a… creative method to use as a recruiter… But, how can the crew get their memories back when they’re always at work?

Harry Kim is now a silver fox who made it back to Earth 20 years ago with Chakotay. His suggestion to fly ahead in a shuttle and give the correct phase corrections to Voyager resulted in the deaths of the rest of the crew, and a heavy case of survivors guilt. Harry Kim is not your regular guilty survivor though, because he WILL fix his past mistake with… time crime! Can Kim, Chakotay and a reactivated EMH talk to the past to change the future?

Thanks to strong state policy, Illinois is a leader on solar installations. That’s creating a lot of job opportunities — and young people are taking notice.
