recently two of my coworkers were jokingly bemoaning being the only straight people in our office- which is not literally true, but my field and city are both queerer than most- and I said “if you’re both straight you should just date each other!” and they turned to look at me with absolute cosmic horror, and the doctor who was in the room with us said “this is payback for when we say that to gay people”

I ❤️ getting time-sensitive legal documents 7 weeks after they officially arrived because no one at the main office sent them on to me.

got bagels with my coworker today & ended up accidentally spending like half an hour talking shit about work, & i still don't know if that was entirely OK to do (i am her boss?) but it made me feel so much better. we have a lot of shared values & concerns in common & it's just like, really comforting to know that there's someone else in the building who knows what's up, we're on the same page about what our most pressing problems are & also what our priorities should be. and also she's very cool & i like her

Every so often my supervisor explains to me the lyrics to whatever salsa or bachata song is on the radio in the meat room and I always find it delightful. Bro likes the song so much he wants me to be able to appreciate it too. Peace and love on planet Costco. <3
