Zwei-Wege-Kommunikation in Echtzeit. Und rasieren könnte ich mich auch noch.

Fight against the ads!
Sooo chrome is trying to block manifest V2 extensions, which includes ones like Ublock origin. Here's how I got around it, this won't work forever... but it works for now and that's enough for me: (explanation on the bottom)
goto chrome://flags
set "temporarily unexpire M139 flags" to enabled
relaunch
the flag "Allow legacy extension manifest versions" should now be a flag, set it to enabled
relaunch and download Ublock origin's release .zip file from their *official* github (be sure to grab the one that has a green "latest" tag)
Then extract the zip into a folder (preferably somewhere organized but ya know anywhere works)
then you need to goto chrome://extensions and enable developer mode
then press "load unpacked" and select the folder that looks like this
Viola! now you have a version of ublock origin on chrome!
A quick explanation of what each step does is below for those curious!
So . . .
If anyone is like me and still dealing with sims needing to be reintroduced to their infants at age up (A bug that they definitely fixed🙄🙄 🙄) I found another workaround besides hiring a one time nanny.
control the infant and have them smile at the parent in question once (maybe twice) and all the interactions should unlock for the parent. Be warned that you will need to cheat the smile milestone if the infant hasn't gotten it yet (just a warning for people who don't like using cheats really)
Just had to do this with Minthe's baby since it was going to take the Nanny 12 sim hours to arrive and poor baby was hungry I didn't need Them taken away!!!

uBlock Origin & Chrome
As of the start of March 2025, Chrome removed uBlock Origin from the Chrome Store.
HOWEVER, you can still install it.
If you have to use Chrome for whatever reason - work, neurodivergent reasons, whatever - neowin.com has a guide for you!
The long and short of it is:
If you already have uBlock Origin installed previously: Go to chrome://extensions. uBlockOrigin is still in the list, just automatically disabled by Google. Toggle it to enable it.
If you don't have uBlock but want it, you're going to have to do a little HTML editing. Nothing too difficult - just a right click to inspect element and changing a word in the resulting text box from 'disabled' to 'enabled'. The link above has a guide for it.
And if you're planning to move off Chrome to another browser of choice like Firefox, enjoy it!
A super clever workaround for YouTube's crackdown on ad blockers sees YouTube ads sped up dramatically instead of blocking them.
You know if the fic you've been reading has been around long enough, you can try putting the url into the way back machine on archive.org and be able to access an archived version of it.
That's right, the archive has been archived :p
The trick is just getting the urls which you can probably find posted on author's tumblrs
