     Well. The party ball had to drop at some point and it now was the time for fun and games to come to a screeching halt as anxiety, fear and self loathing took over her boyfriend’s mood. Holli’s seen it before -- of course she has. They’ve been dating for such a long time now, she’s HAD to have seen this side of him --  just as he’s seen HER at her lowest as well. But.... just because she’s used to it doesn’t make it any easier to see him like this.

     The blonde lays her hands at his shoulders and slowly pulls him closer to her, gently forcing him to rest his head into her lap. ❛  You worryin’ about shit isn’t... It ain’t fully bad. It’s what makes people.... human. Ya know? Is a naggin’ reminder we’re alive.❜  Her palm lays to his cheek, the warmth of her hand caressing his face and jaw in what she hopes is a comforting gesture. Despite the frequency of this, Holli is never certain she’s ... good at it. She’s considered herself to be emotionally stunted. Her own emotions were often a foreign concept. And as much as she loved Pickles and YEARNED to put him at ease, she was never certain she was succeeding.

      Holli sighs, her brow tented in worry.  ❛  I... I think you’re perfect the way you are, baby. .....I’ve always thought that.❜  The blonde bends forward, resting her chin atop his temple as she closed her eyes tightly. She dips down once and presses a warm, lingering kiss to his forehead before returning back to the first position again, her voice a mutter against his skin.

“You’ll protect them, won’t you? Please, Evfra. You’ll help my people.” He grips Evfra’s hand tight, his voice waning as the sickness overtakes him. You’ll keep K’hym safe. Tell her I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise not to leave her. Even in his mind, the coherent thoughts started to drift, from words to feeling.
