I realized something as I was laying in bed at 3am this morning. I realized that I don't care anymore, I realized that I can't/won't/don't trust anymore, I realized that I'm tired of hurting both mentally and physically.

I know what I'm doing. And I know what most of you will say. I'm just so tired of being hurt. So by not trusting, by not caring, by not being invested 100% in something, I won't get hurt again. Yes, it's a defense mechanism. Sometimes the best defense will win you championships.

This is how I've been acting towards relationships, towards sport teams and towards people in general. This is how I have decided to act. It is my choice. I don't tell you how to act so please don't tell me. Everyone is different and everyone will act differently. This is what makes us unique and special, the fact that we are different.

Some people have decided to lie to me because they think it will be easier on me and that I may react nicer if I don't know the truth. This is so not the case. I want the truth, I need the truth. I tell my kids every day to tell the truth no matter what. I would rather be hurt by the truth than killed by a lie.

Most of you will not agree with my feelings and that's alright. We have that right to disagree and to feel differently towards different matters.
