So, I started learning how to use Wolvenkit by doing the "validate functionality" thing, where you create a color swap mod.

setting a global/"default" project layout for WolvenKit
There might be another way to do this but I'm always peeved about WKit randomly forgetting my preferred project layout so I did a little searching on the modding server then did the good ol' "fuck around and find out".
So here's how to make sure WolvenKit always loads a new project with the layout how you want it to be:
Navigate in explorer to a project that has your desired layout. Find the layout.xml file in it.
Previews of another upcoming pose pack by me, centered in n a masculine FemV. Keep an eye out for its appearance in a week or so. 😌
A gift from a friend overseas, I never saw myself changing the vision cyberware but this has started growing on me.

More to come perhaps?
just about tearing my hair out with this mod. now wolvenkit think my mesh inside one outfit is redirecting back to itself... but the mesh by itself is not. I don't understand ANY of this. There's no way that's not a bug. Ffs.
i'm gonna take a break and play world of warcraft for awhile.

i don't even know what to say about this. It's literally saying a file that's currently open that's in my project is missing from my project.
like.... what????
this is one of the problems i've been told is my fault. All these things here are things that aren't even in my project, but the wolvenkit file validation (wscript) is looking for them in my project. I don't know why, I'm not working with a male_average, I'm working with River and he's a male_big and all of his items are male_big items tailored especially to him. The parts of Kurt that I'm using are also all male_big items and all tailored especially to Kurt. I don't understand what the wscript is trying to do by looking for these when I don't have them in my project. "t0" is a Torso-skin/body mesh, so I definitely don't have a male average torso for River. If this problem is the reason my meshes aren't showing up into the game even though I have every required item for them to show up, then that is a huge problem because those male_average earring sets should not be affecting the belt buckles or the peacock feather I imported. The i1_090 jewelry set is specifically for Valentino jewelry (the crosses) and not even Jackie's - tailored for a male_big - worked on River, so I can't use those at all. And it's not just jewelry. First time this happened was when I was still talking to the modders on discord and wolvenkit was trying to find brown eyelashes that I never put in my project (they come with he_ which is headeyes_), and that was when River's jacket mesh was messing up (and it's unlikely his jacket is made out of millions of eyelashes). But that was apparently my fault. Right now, it's also looking for skin textures I never put in there that River doesn't use (he uses the sienna color), but it's trying to find extra skin colors in my project that I'm not using. And users cannot direct the WScript where to validate files, you just hit the "Run WScript" button and it searches.
But I can't find help for it. Googling the issue doesn't work, there are no answers. If this is a Wolvenkit Nightly specific issue but everyone who writes the guides and scripts for Wolvenkit uses regular Wolvenkit, then they shouldn't be telling ppl to use the Nightly version. And the modding community on Discord just accuses me of "user error." But it can't be my error when wolvenkit is looking for stuff I never put there.
And ppl might think I'm constantly whining, but if issues never get aired, then there will never be any fixes. These are things that need to be on the internet because I cannot be the only person in the world having these problems with Wolvenkit.
Finally found the netrunner head cyberware in the asset browser but now I don't know what to do with it 😭
I want to add it to the character creator for FemV using the piercing framework mod similar to the Songbird Neck Cyberware mod but I'm kinda just stuck now lol
