Wake the fuck up, samurai

For the last week or so, I've been writing the next chapter of The Two Valeries in a remote log cabin literally in the middle of nowhere. I've always been a city kid who's loathed even the idea of going to the country, so traveling several hundred miles to the barren northern wilderness was really something else.

I was sick of the noise, chaos, and people of the city, so having nothing but fells, forests, and bogs around me was a welcome change. Saw plenty of raindeer, and ortunately didn't have any run-ins with wolves or bears. I knew that at some point I'd get the urge to write, so I grabbed my old iMac with me since there was no way I'd haul my huge gaming rig all the way to the far side of the country.
