So I finished reading the Reverb series by @wolftraps 👀👀👀 and, spoiler alert!

the imagery of your lost love’s eye in ur heart (and a spider happens to live in there) is just too beautiful to not depict *sobs* I simply couldn’t resist. thank you so much for writing such a beautiful story

I think my favorite subgenre of TMA fic (of which I admittedly haven’t read a lot) is that where it’s pre-apocalypse and the Magnus Institute is structured and functioning like a mostly-normal institutional body, with all the normal components and obligations thereof. Particularly as it involves people in other departments just trying to do their damn jobs. It hits this perfect sweet spot of outsider POV, ‘yeah research is just Like This,’ making the weird shit interact with the real world (always hilarious), and faking being a real person while really being 157 spiders in a trench coat.
