Jazz For Two (Opening Title Video) | Hangyeom
Some months ago, I attempted to break my art block and it actually worked for a short period.
Unfortunately, it didn't last long and I was back to zero... I've been trying again for days now to get back on track. Hopefully, it will work this time as well and last a little longer... 🫠
These are some warm-ups I did back then.

春の間ずっと、そして数世紀の間、ただあなたと一緒にいたいだけです
Promise
Genre: Angst
Warning: Arugments, cussing, reader pushes Hangyeom
Authors note: I was feeling a little sad ever since Hangyeom announced he was enlisting so here is a short story I thought of..
The glow of your phone screen felt blinding in the dimly lit apartment. Your heart pounded as you read the announcement over and over again, the words blurring together through the sting of unshed tears.
“Song Hangyeom of Omega X to enlist for mandatory military service next week.”
Next. Week.
Your breath hitched. You hadn’t heard a word about this from him—not a single hint. But the whole world knew. Fans knew. Strangers on the internet knew. And you had to find out through Twitter?
The door unlocked with a soft click, and your head snapped up. Footsteps echoed in the silence before Hangyeom stepped inside, looking exhausted from work. His tired eyes met yours, and instantly, he knew something was wrong.
Before he could say anything, you shot up from the couch, your voice sharp and trembling.
“What the fuck is this?”
His brows furrowed in confusion as you walked over to him shoving your phone at him, the screen still open to the announcement. He barely got a glance before you snatched it back, your hands shaking.
“I had to find out on Twitter?” you spat, voice rising. “Are you fucking serious, Hangyeom? You’re leaving in a week, and I had to read about it online like I’m just another fan?”
“I—”
“No!” You cut him off, stepping closer. “You didn’t think I deserved to know first? Did you even plan on telling me? Or was I supposed to just wake up one day and find out you were gone?”
His jaw tightened. “Of course I was going to tell you.”
“Oh, really?” You let out a bitter laugh. “When? The night before? Or were you just going to send me a text when you already gone?”
“That’s not fair,” he shot back, frustration seeping into his voice. “I told the company to wait before announcing it. I told them I needed to talk to you first, but they didn’t listen.”
You blinked, your breath catching.
“They weren’t supposed to post it until tomorrow,” he continued, softer now, trying to meet your eyes. “I wanted you to hear it from me.”
You shook your head, stepping back as the weight of everything crushed down on you.
“You should have made them listen,” you whispered, voice trembling.
Hangyeom exhaled sharply and reached for you, but the moment his hands touched your arms, you flinched away, pushing him back.
“Don’t.” Your voice cracked. “Don’t touch me right now.”
Hurt flashed across his face, and for a moment, he just stood there, watching as you tried to keep yourself together. But you couldn’t. The anger, the heartbreak—it all blurred into something unbearable.
“What am I going to do without you?” “I’m going to miss you so fucking much,” you finally choked out, tears slipping down your cheeks.
His expression softened, and despite everything, he tried again—slower this time.
When his arms wrapped around you, you didn’t fight him.
You collapsed against him, gripping his shirt as sobs wracked your body. His lips pressed gently against your forehead, lingering there as he whispered, “It’s okay. I’m right here.”
His warmth surrounded you, grounding you. His arms tightened around you, and he began to sway gently, chin resting on top of your head.
“This isn’t the end of us,” he murmured, voice steady despite everything. “We’re going to be okay.”
You closed your eyes, breathing him in. “You promise?”
He pulled back just enough to look at you, his hands cupping your face. “I promise.”
His lips brushed your temple, and he held you even closer. “I’ll be back soon, baby. No matter how long it takes, I’ll come back to you.”
And as the two of you stood there, wrapped up in each other, the world outside didn’t matter anymore.
Because, no matter how much it hurt now, you would be okay.
