Theo x Reader

Warnings: maybe a little sad? language! It’s just cute

Summary: After you get kicked out from your mother, you find yourself in company of an enemy, which has become an ally. In a moment of loneliness and despair, fate brought you two together and that was all you needed.

You already had a pretty bad relationship with your mom, but you thought, that after your pack had defeated “the Wild Hunt” everything would finally get better. Pretty naive, if you think about all the things your pack has already been through.

After the divorce of your parents, you were left alone with your mom and things have gotten out of hand lately. Your house didn’t feel like home anymore, something has changed. You knew that ‘being at home’ wasn’t specifically a place, it was a feeling, however you only felt at home when you were with your pack. They became family to you, more of a family than your own mother was to you right now. Nevertheless, you stayed optimistic about the future and you were very determined to work things out.

It was late when you came home tonight after a lacrosse game from your best friend Liam. The rain was pouring outside and a hot shower was just what you needed.

“Mom, I am home!” you shouted into the house while closing the door behind you. You turned around to see her standing right in front of you with two familiar looking bags in both of her hands.

“This isn’t your home anymore!” she said with a straight face dropping the bags right in front of your feet.

“W-what?” you asked in shock, not able to process what you just heard.

“I am KICKING YOU OUT Y/N!!” your mom yelled. You have never heard your mother yell like this, her aggressive tone made you swallow hard.

“Y-you can’t be serious.. I- I am your.. daugther” you said, trying to hold back the tears, that were forming in the corner of your eye.

“Does this look like a joke to you?” your mother laughed to herself.

“I have packed your stuff, no need for you to go upstairs and please don’t call me mom. I don’t have a daugther anymore! She is one of those freaks and I am not going to live under the same roof with one of those disgusting creatures!”, she implied with so much hatred, that her words literally knocked the air out of your lungs.

Every word she spoke was like another hit to your face. You just couldn’t believe the words coming out of her mouth. Her voice was intimidating and it send shivers down your spine. Seeing her this angry was simply terrifying. It took you a minute to pull yourself together. You just didn’t want her to see how much this was actually hurting you.

“I-It is pouring ou-outside..” you stuttered quietly, not able to talk any louder. Your voice was already breaking. It is really hard to keep it together, when your heart is being shreed to pieces. All you wanted to do was cry, but you couldn’t let her win.

“Do you think I care? Go to your monsters of friends! But don’t you dare set a foot in my house ever again!” she claimed.

This was to much, tears were now rolling down your cheeks. Normally, she would have taken you into her arms, petted your hair while whispering some calm words into your ear, but not now. Her facial expression stayed stone cold the entire time.

“Leave!” she yelled, but you couldn’t move. All you could think of was ‘how did this happen? Why is she saying all those things?’

“Don’t make me do this Y/N!” she growled.

“Why are you doing this?” You hissed, when you saw her walking towards the door with your stuff.

You stared at her quietly, making big eyes when she opened the door, to threw your bags outside without turning a hair. Before you could even realise what was happening, you felt a hand grabbing your arm and pulling you out of the house by force.

“Please.. just let me stay for one more night!” you cried out. “I will leave in the morning.. I-I promise!” you screamed in vain, but without any hesitation your mother had already slammed the door shut in front of your face.

You didn’t know how long you have been sitting on your porch crying, but you surly knew that you couldn’t stay there. You took your bags and started walking. The rain was soaking your clothes, not even your hood saved you from getting wet.

You needed to call someone, you needed a place to stay and help. Desperate times call for desperate measures, you thought but then you remembered, Stiles was at Quantico, Scott and Lydia were off to college and Malia was in Paris. You are on your own..

Sure you could call Liam or Mason, although that’s a bad idea. They already have a lot of stuff going on and you really don’t want to be a burden to them.

“Guess I am going to sleep under the bridge then” you muttered to yourself, adjusting the straps from your bags on you shoulders.

You kept your head low while walking down the street, pulling your hood even more over your face. You wiped away some hair strains, that were sticking to your face.

“You are so pathetic Y/N” you mumbled to yourself, when you felt your hot tears mixing with the cold raindrops on your skin.

Your legs were shaking just like the rest of your body, because of the cold and as if that wasn’t enough, your shoulders were burning underneath the weight of your bags. Soaked from the rain with chattering teeth, you tried to find a place to stay.

Time was passing by and you just kept walking down the streets. You kept walking, starring into nothingness with your mind blank. You didn’t really recognize your surroundings but you didn’t care. You haven’t paid attention at all to the direction in which you were going. This made you not only a total mess, it made you also a lost mess.

When you looked ahead to the end of the street, you could see a truck parking in a dark corner. That was pretty unusual, because most of the people park infront of their own houses, in their garage or on the appointed parking lots in front of their houses.

You furrowed your brows, trying to focus on the car. ‘Haven’t you seen a truck like this before?’ You thought to yourself.

The closer you came, the more you started to recognize the car and a sudden feeling of relieve came over you.

“This has to be Theo’s car” you breathed out, increasing your pace. The cold air was burning in your lungs, but you just ignored the pressure in your chest.

When you arrived at the truck, you saw Theo’s sad figure laying in the backseat. He was hiding from the cold underneath a thin blanked, it was pulled all the way up to his face, covering his mouth a bit.

Your fist was about to knock on his window, when you suddenly hesitated. Your eyes were fixed on Theo, but your gaze shifted. You just stared at the reflection of yourself in the window. A frown was covering your face.

'What is he even doing out here in his truck and why do I even consider him for potential help’ you thought to yourself.

The rain was dripping on your face, when you started to remember something, something you had tried so hard to forget. It wasn’t even too long ago and just like tonight it was a rainy and dark night.

It was that one evening when everyone got to know the evil side off Theo Raeken. He hurt you back then. You trusted him and he carelessly took advantage of it. He nearly destroyed your pack and killed Scott.

A tear left your eye when you relived the pictures in you head of Theo being dragged into hell. It was happening all over again in front of your eyes. Theo deserved what he got back then but still, seeing him this alone, it was the last thing you would wish upon someone. You snapped out of your thoughts, trying to remind yourself that those were just memories.

“That were memories of the past” you said closing your eyes.

You pushed away the thoughts of all the pain you had been through and when you opened your eyes again, you replaced your fear and sadness with hope. 

You stared at his face, seeing him standing by your side fighting against the Wild Hunt. You see him standing with your pack, ready to give up his life. You see his eyes, those beautiful blueish, green eyes, that were hiding so much pain. He was trying really hard to make it up to your pack, but they weren’t easy on him, especially Stiles and Malia.

Without any second thought, you knocked on his window, immediately regretting it, when you saw Theo jump. He looked like a mess, a little bit to pale for a Chimera with dark eye circles and a somehow sad aura.

He didn’t even look at you when he said “Okay, okay I am leaving just give me a sec-” but he didn’t finish his sentence, because his tired and puffy eyes meet yours.

“Y/N?” He asked confused, blinking a couple of times to make sure it really was you.

“Hey Theo” you said, trying to hide your feelings, which was the most useless thing ever, because he could probably read your chemosingnals.

He rolled down the window, while taking a good look at your soaked body before he started to speak again.

“What are you doing here?” he asked with concern in his voice. You just held your two bags up and shrugged your shoulders.

“I got kicked out” you answered with a shaky voice.

His eyes widened and a sad look flashed over his face, before he turned around to look around in his car.

“Well, I think there is just enough room for one more person in here” he announced, giving you a sweet little smile.

Your heart made a little jump and you couldn’t hide your genuine smile. You just looked at him and you were so fucking thankful. He didn’t have to take you in, but he did, even if you were still skeptical of him.

“Thank you Theo!” you said, picking up your bags.

You saw Theo unlock the car as you walked around to the back. You threw your stuff inside and searched for some dry sleeping clothes. The trunk went shut with a bang when you found your clothes, a pillow and a blanket. 

You hurried back and got into the passenger seat, seeing that Theo had changed his position. He was sitting in the front now, pressing the buttons for the heat inside of the car. You didn’t really care that he was looking at you when you started to get undressed, all you wanted was to get out of those wet clothes. And it wasn’t like you were completely naked in front of him. You felt his gaze on you but you didn’t say anything, until Theo interrupted the silence.

“Why did your mom kick you out?” He asked with a sad undertone in his voice.

“Well, apparently I am a monster just like my friends. I guess normal teenagers don’t have werewolves, werecyoties, kitsunes and chimeras as friends.” you answered shortly, while putting away your stuff.

“Guess we are both orphans now” you murmured a little more quiet under your cold breath. “We both have no family and most of our friends are gone”

“Well I will glady share my truck with you from now on” Theo said, giving you a wink, before he started to cuddle himself back into his blanket.

“You didn’t have to do this, you know” you said not waiting for an answer, but Theo turned back around to you.

“Y/N, I wanted to and I am not letting you sleep outside in the rain.”

“Well, thank you” you whispered. It was pretty hard to believe, that you were in Theo’s car right now. Maybe he really is becoming a better person or he is just a good actor and fooling you once again.

You climed to the back seat, turning the car to a small bed. You body was still shivering from the cold. 'Damn’ you thought. You were almost certain, that you were gonna catch a cold, which didn’t make it easier to fall asleep.

“Theo?” you asked from the back.

“Yes Y/N?”

“We should totally move together!” you simply said.

“This isn’t a longterm option” you added chuckling.

“That sounds like a good idea, although, I really love my car!” Theo responded and you could hear him smiling while saying it.

“Are you still cold?” He asked in concern after a small pause.

“Yes, still freezing. I am sorry if my chattering teeth are keeping you awake.”

“Don’t be. Here, let me warm you up. That is one of the good things about being a chimera, we have a pretty hot body tempreture.” he mumbled giving you a little wink and a big smirk. 

He gracefully climbed into the back of his truck. Not!

You lifted up the blanket so Theo could lay down beside you.

“Oh my gosh you are so damn hot” you said with amazement, pressing yourself even closer to his body.

Your heart stopped and your eyes widened when you realised, what you just had said.

“I-I mean.. y-you are really warm!” you stuttered, feeling your cheeks heat up. You probably looked like a tomato right now, so embarressing!

Theo just laughed and laid an arm around you, being your big spoon. You would have never imagined to end up cuddling with someone like Theo Raeken for warmth, but it actually felt good.

“I am really glad to be here with you right now Theo.” you wisphered.

“Yeah, I am also thankful for that. Maybe it was a good thing, that you got kicked out afterall.” Theo mumbled and you could feel his hot breath tickle in your neck.

“I am just happy, that I don’t have to be alone right now” you said when a tear rolled down your cheek. You felt his hand searching for yours, he squeezed it a little bit to comfort you.

“Yeah, I didn’t want to be alone either. We have each other now!” His calm voice soothed you, and just like that his words took away your worries.

“Good night Theo” you mumbled, already drifting away into a deep sleep.

Theo somehow managed to take away your bad thoughts. Maybe it was his heartbeat on you back or his warm breath in your neck or maybe it was just his warmth. What ever it was, you have never felt this save in your life before.

“Good Night Y/N” Theo answered, while pressing his soft lips on your shoulder.

“I am really glad you are here” he wisphered to himself.

Somehow fate brought you two together and that was all you two needed.
