This #worldmentalhealthday we just want to share our gratitude to all you ghosties. Your understanding and compassion towards SGC (and to your fellow ghosties) has been a beacon through the hardest times. The club started with a comic about how alone I was feeling, everyone was succeeding and getting on with their lives and I felt so left behind and lost. Making those comics and the response they received quickly highlighted that I was not alone. I stopped feeling like I was failing, I accepted the fact that my brain was struggling and started taking necessary steps to improve my way of thinking. All the help and advice you all offer doesn't go unnoticed and we can't believe what this little club has turned into. Thank you <3 love from lize x The help available (especially here in the UK) sucks and so many people we know are struggling, but the conversation is changing and when we're honest and open about our own feelings and struggles we let those around us know that they're not alone. Being open and vocal can feel like 'oversharing' but it just might empower someone who is suffering in silence to know that others are struggling with something similar. Look out for each other <3 We love you <3

So today is World Mental Health Day and I decided to do something for it in work! Me and my manager have made a PowerPoint presentation to pass over to all the other managers to deliver to their teams. I'm just hella anxious right now....
In the PowerPoint is a personal statement written by me about my experiences. I'm anxious to share it so publicly but I'm doing it in the hope it'll help someone else take the first steps to seeking support. I might share what I put later on!

I think World Mental Health Day should be a public holiday for those of us living with broken brains. Or for everyone actually - you don't need to be mentally ill to take care of your mental health. Especially in this fucking ridiculous, toxic and injust world we're living in.
Basically, I don't want to have to go to work tomorrow. I want to sleep sleep sleep and then swim in the sea and then drink tea. Probably need to do some good crying too. Then I would also need to find a way to connect with people to stop me from getting too sad.
That would be a perfect therapeutic nurturing kinda day. I'm in one of those 'I wanna just drop out of society' moods.

❌ not many friends to stay in touch WITH
👌 don’t do things I’m good at all that often
❌ dunno ‘who I am’ and I hate whoever that is
✅ I’m constantly asking for help
✅ I care too much about others
I try so hard to do these...
... but I’m still suffering.
