Hello! I've read a small amount of your asks regarding the lore of the watchers in your fic, and I know they're kinda like big millipede guys(?) but was wondering if they (could) have other forms as well. Like can they be like players or other creatures if they want to?
Yep!!! Both Players and Watchers are shapeshifters, though how easy it is for them depends on their particular code structure. For Players its typically very easy to mess with surface code to change your appearance, though some cosmetics like wings are a lot harder to code in properly. For Watchers its technically instinctive for them to change up any type of code, but it comes at the cost of using up a lot of their code's durability and needing to repair it via resonance (aka feeding). Players are a lot more hardy, durability wise :P hope this answers your question anon!!!
