"Is my dad just like, not an option? Look, I know I'm supposed to save Milo because he's like, literally my twin, and I love him, I do, but I mean this in such a nice way, honestly, he just like, doesn't need my help? Something about Milo is that he always finds a way to land on his feet which is so good, obviously, but also so annoying because like, he can just move through life so easily? Like I swear someone could come at him with a knife and try and rob his ass and somehow by the end of it all Milo and the robber would be besties and Milo would be invited to his future wedding, do you know what I mean? Like if there was a fire in the house - which, don't bring that energy to me, okay? - but like if there was a fire in the house, Milo would manage to get out unscathed with all of his precious belongings untouched. So like, sorry, I'm not saving him. He'll survive."

After soundcheck, Noa prefers to sit in his dressing room and shoot the shit with Juli for as long as possible before going on. It's calming to be there together, to ride the waves of sitting in silence and exchanging bitter commentary the way they've done as long as they've known each other. Right now, the last thing Noa can do is be alone with Julien; he doesn't want to be alone with any of his band, preferring to score free drinks from the bar before the doors officially open and his chance at getting mildly numb is gone.

"I brought home some cheesecake if you want it."

Merritt stops in the doorway of Milo's old-new room. Her alter is still set up in the corner, a messy metaphysical display that doesn't match any of her brother's decor. It'll stay there, though, because she no longer has space in her own bedroom and he's not even supposed to be living here anymore.

Became a last minute dog sitter

Easy's holding it together. He is. Sooo well. He hasn't been this drunk in a long time, but probably no one can even tell. Which is good, because he has to be serious now - he has to be super normal about this conversation.

"Divorce is crazy," Easy starts. His voice is soft but he knows that's not exactly taking the edge off of the topic; embarrassed, he tries to run it back, make the slate fresh. "I mean, uh. It's crazy that people are talking about it already."

He knows Milo and Frankie have some sort of history, so he's not going to point fingers, but the way Easy's gaze slides to Frankie across the room isn't very subtle either.
