Stranger: Not to me, this is all borderline crazy! Why didn't you tell me? God, I feel like I was hit with a car.

You: So you didn't know about all this? SH Just stay in bed, I'll be home soon. SH

Stranger: I think if I knew anything about magic or vampires I would be reacting a little differently. I'll be fine. I think the last thing I want is to stay in bed if I don't have to.

You: I would strongly advise you do. SH I'll explain when I get there. SH

Stranger: Doctors make the worst patients, you know, but fine. Why are you so sure I have magic?

You: There's a few things, but at the pool it was confirmed. SH Have you ever noticed that when you treat patients, they heal and recover more quickly than average? SH

Stranger: I guess, I assumed that was their own body's accomplishment though.

You: So you've just assumed that every patient you've had is a quick healer? SH

Stranger: When you say it like that, I feel embarrassed.

You: Don't be. SH If you were never aware, how would you know? SH

Stranger: Right. Is there anything else completely unusual about me I've just ignored?

You: Well, I suppose some of the displays of it are more subtle. SH Other than, well, releasing a massive amount of telekinetic energy that caused each one of the snipers' rifles to jam irreversibly, and that caused Moriarty to be thrown to the other side of the pool. SH Luckily, the explosives he had you in were unaffected. SH

Stranger: I did that!? That's INSANE. God, I remember being thoroughly panicked when I saw him have the snipers aim onto you, but I things get a little blurry after that. I might've reacted more calmly if I knew you would've been fine.

You: What you did was incredible. SH But also a strain on your natural powers, especially untrained. SH I'm sure you'll be fully recovered soon. SH

Stranger: Why was it such a huge strain? Don't tell me I have to carry around something silly like a wand.

You: Most witches don't. SH But if you aren't used to exerting your powers in such a way, it can put a strain on your body. SH It seems you just need practice, and to get acclimated to using it more frequently. SH

Stranger: Thank God. I did not want to start having to carry a stick around in my pocket. Why are you so certain Moriarty will back off? Was he intimidated?

You: I think with one supernatural being, he was prepared. SH But with two of us, he knows he'll have to be more careful. SH And with how powerful your magic is, it was an unexpected variable for him. SH

Stranger: Knowing nothing about this entire world you've just revealed to me, you could have told me I was the weakest sod you knew and I would've believed you. I think I preferred when he had no reason to acknowledge me though.

You: Don't worry, we'll deal with him together. SH Though for now, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. SH

Stranger: I believe I'm in too much shock to come up with any now. You said you're a vampire, but you can walk around in the sun, we've gone to Italian restaurants so you obviously don't mind garlic, I've seen you break into buildings so it's not like you have to ask permission to enter anywhere, and you show up in mirrors and pictures.

You: Yes, there are a lot of fallacies with the legends around my kind. SH If anything, we're more photosensitive than most, but we can still be in the sun for periods of time. SH

Stranger: What actually IS true about vampires, if anything?

You: Well, we are undead, immortal beings, we subsist off of blood from mortals, and we have the capability of charming others into doing what we want. SH And before you ask, no, I haven't done that to you. SH

Stranger: Good. Did you only not do it to me because you thought I was some kind of witch? What kills you? So I know what I actually need to panic over.

You: Well silver can maim, but impaling through the chest or decapitation are generally what I'd need to be concerned about. SH

Stranger: Would a bullet through the chest or head do it?

You: Head may do some lasting damage, but to the chest, it's generally pretty quick to heal from. SH It's just if a foreign body, like a stake for classic example, were lodged there, I wouldn't be able to heal and recover from in time to survive. SH

Stranger: Oh my god, I'm going to have to worry about almost everything with you. If I actually learnt my magic, could I heal you in time? If you were impaled, or something.

You: Not everything, please don't worry. SH Most people like us are good enough at concealing ourselves from public knowledge that there are few who would hunt us and know these methods. SH

Stranger: Still. Could I heal you if I learnt my magic? I'm not going to come home with your head rotting on a some silver spike.

You: This is really worrying you. SH We can work on it. Though with healing, you'll need people to practice on. SH I can use my contacts to let trusted, supernatural beings know that they can come to you. SH

Stranger: Yes, it's worrying me. I don't want you dead, Sherlock. Is there anyone else we mutually know who's supernatural?

You: A good number of my homeless network is. SH Mycroft is also a vampire, which won't do you much good. Not until you've practiced a bit more. SH Even then, on myself would be a far better option. SH

Stranger: Being forced to deal with your homeless network, doesn't mean I know them. I figured, about Mycroft. Do you know any other witches or anything?

You: Not many, and most would deal with their own injuries and illnesses on their own. SH Mrs. Hudson knows about me, and she is human, so she could be worth a shot. SH

Stranger: Why? Are they reclusive or something?

You: Most hide their magic from the public eye. SH You hadn't the slightest idea about yourself until the start of this conversation. SH

Stranger: Well normal people think all of this is fake, I wouldn't have thought about it.

You: Exactly, which is why in secrecy, we thrive. SH It's why I never told you I was a vampire. SH

Stranger: Why does it have to be secret?

You: Because hundreds of years ago, you likely would've been burned at the stake. SH Ordinary people fear what they do not understand. SH

Stranger: Right. Witch hunts. Forgot that those are relevant to me now.

You: Yes, they're relevant to both of us. SH After all, vampires are still misunderstood even amongst other supernatural beings. SH

Stranger: Really? Why?

You: Think about it. SH I feed on the blood of the living. SH

Stranger: I'm not sure if it's the pain medication, but I don't see the problem. Humans eat animals, not trying to sound like an activist, you're doing what you have to. Plus, it's not like you have to kill the person you're drinking from, to my limited understanding.

You: I'm glad you have a sound understanding. SH It's just a bit taboo, as much as it can be in the supernatural world. SH

Stranger: No one enjoys realising they aren't at the top of the food chain. Again, could be the pain meds, but you haven't bitten me so it's not fallen into my realm of jurisdiction.

You: No worries. SH Would you like me to bring anything on my way home? SH

Stranger: (sorry my laptop is dying and I can't find my charger!! This was fun!!
