He’d already seen two women he loved die before him, before his children were properly grown. And now... now the son he’d placed his heart had more than leapt from the precipice of Witchdrop. He’d grown wings and become the very monster that had killed innocent lives in front of him not ten years earlier. Ten years he had harbored blood soaked hands. If they threw him from the cliffs right then, he felt he’d deserve it. If only the twins would forgive him for that thought.
