Witty banter is a playful, clever, and humorous conversation technique that every writer uses to spice up their characters’ interactions and convey a sense of depth when they speak. And depending on the situation it can be witty flirting, mild sarcasm, self-deprecating humor, playful teasing and whatnot.
For example a little bit of playful, lighthearted teasing between two people in an already-established relationship is a wonderful way to demonstrate how well they know one another.
“I can’t believe you worn that stupid suit again.”
“How else was I gonna get you to rip my clothes off.”
“Do you want lasagna or parmigiana for supper?”
“Lasagna.”
“Me too. Stop by Olive Garden on the way home.”
However, banter should never be rude, offensive, or condescending. There is a crucial balance between mild teasing or sarcasm and crossing the line into insulting remarks. The only way to truly be good at coming up with witty banter/dialogue is to study it by listening to people, watching movies, and reading books with clever dialogue and narration.

I seriously love Wisecracker please tell me more about her!
Oh sure! thanks for loving her!
Her personality consists of doing things for the chaos of it all. She’s not good or bad. She only does crimes to bathe in chaos. Like one day she’ll help orphans but the next she’ll burn down their playground.
During the time when she wasn’t crazy anything to her seemed dull. She faked emotions and was insanely smart she wasn’t unhappy just really really bored with life. Like she loved her adoptive parents and life wasn’t that bad she was just bored.
When she hit 16 anything changed for her joker dna took over and after discovering chaos philosophy She dons her makeup and accidentally trips in joker chemicals which dye her hair blue and makes her face white and fry her brain. Then she blew up her private high school in Gotham.
Speaking of make up she has insomnia and if you took her make up off you would see her severe eye bags.
She had never laughed till she looked in the mirror after her accident. Then she wouldn’t stop laughing.
I know you said you were working on it so this might be repetitive, but more varied body types would be nice! It’ll make the characters stand out even more, and they’ll be more diverse. It’s a small thing but I (personally) think it’s important to keep in mind (please don’t take offense to this 😣)
I would never take offense to advice! There are body types I wanna try like apple or more chubby types. I just get either stuck trying to pose them and go “Alright...hourglass”
Also gosh boys.. I have so many male ocs who are either buff or himbos. With my skinny boys being only Russell,Claymore and Andre.
I made this sorta a list of what I want my girls to look like. Like I want that diversity in my art. But so far I have to practice a lot more. If you guys know any good references sent them my way!
Also some of these show stuff some characters would never show anyone but their s/o or closest friends i.e Zaltana’s eye,Rainey’s arms, Wise’s stitches.
Also I’m dumb but Violet and Rainey’s shape are supposed to be switched.
