The Spring is heating up here in London, maybe a little earlier then we all expected. With highs of 28 c in May we think its time to start breaking out the summer drinks! Not only do we have locally roasted iced coffees and delicious Berry Berry and Vanilla Bean lemonades ,we are now introducing brand new tea flavours from Wisdom Tea Shop on Dundas. We’ll be brewing a big jug of iced tea in the mornings and the flavours will switch up depending on the day!
Choose from healing Hibiscus blossoms packed full of vitamin C, the epitome of refreshing. Feeling like a fruity burst? Try our Strawberry Kiwi tea iced ( potentially plans for a Strawberry Kiwi tea popsicle~ stay tuned). Neither of these flavours what you are searching for? Still need your daily dose of caffeine? Last but certainly not least we have Ginger Peach Black Tea, delicious iced or hot. Come in for a drink and some cupcakes, and pull up a chair in our chill bakery before heading back into the sun.
#4 ALLOWING HAPPINESS
One thing I've been working on lately, is trying to allow myself to be happy. I'm sure you have heard and read this a million times, because most people have a hard time allowing themselves to be happy. It's just what we do. Is it stupid? Well, duh. Does knowing that it is stupid make it any easier to let happiness in? Obviously not. Trust me, otherwise I'd be as happy as a snowman in summer (I'm very sorry, I couldn't help it).
There are always going to be bad days, sad things, stupid people, stupid decisions, stupid outfits, the list goes on forever. We just have to deal with that. I've already written a post on positivity (post #1 if you we're wondering. yup, shamelessly self-promoting. jk. not really though) and we don't want to get all redundant, now do we -
But letting happiness in is a completely different task. Seriously, who designed life? Is there any-freaking-thing that isn't a struggle? Sure, it might get a lot easier as more happiness comes from within one's self, but I think that even if you're struggling on the road to positivityria, you can still learn to accept and absorb (not really the word I was looking for but jeez, it's hard to explain, I hope you get my point) the good things you cannot influence. Allow yourself to realize that you might have great people around you, people that make you feel good about yourself or rather not make you feel anything about yourself because you don't have to worry about how to act and what to wear. People that you can actually be around.
And if there's nobody like that to be found, then get the hell out of wherever you are, screw 'em all and go find yourself some people that deserve and appreciate to have you around.
I'm all about the "you don't need to rely on other people to find your happiness" but hey, it still doesn't hurt to have other people make you even happier. We tend to forget:
- it's not a crime to be happy.
#2 Dreams
I just finished high school here in Germany a little more than a month ago. So naturally, there are these burning questions in my head: What will I do next? What are my goals? Will I make my dreams come true?
This brought me to re-think what my dreams actually are. All our lives we have certain goals, a certain vision of what our future should look like or at least of what we want it to look like. But when you reach a point in your life, where you're actually confronted with those dreams, we might realize that we're not too sure about it, after all. So what is the right way to go about it? Should we wait until we know for sure? Will we ever know for sure or will the 'what if' - thought continue to stay in our heads?
In life, we are influenced by so many things and people. I wonder whether my dreams are my own dreams or somebody else's. But then again, does it even matter if we end up happy?
Obviously I don't have much of a choice, but to wait and see where life takes me and try to be open to the opportunities that might come my way. Maybe life is a book and your dreams are just a page of it. Maybe you should, from time to time, turn over the page and start again on a blank one.
- Eventually our dreams will come to us.
