Scifi needs more wirewolves. Just have meat people and robots get turned into energy eating robot werewolves who can grow jetpacks to fly.

The wirewolves are a threat b/c they eat power sources/batteries/engine fuel (hell let em suck the bio-electricity out of people?) and they destroy robots, ships, and space suits which people need to live in space.
