1.18.22 Lunchtime drawing: I'm presenting today an oversized sketchbook with a live, on-site watercolor in Coney Island! While I painted on the boardwalk, the wind knocked over the easel, my water, and the watercolor block repeatedly, all while I'm dressed for what looks like an Antarctic trip, and propping up my phone on a bench to go on Instagram Live while doing so (it's online for you to watch.) One thing I love about painting outdoors is the unpredictability of it all (as opposed to indoors at a studio). We have the Atlantic Ocean, the beach, and Parachute Jump all the way over to the Wonder Wheel. This place is magic.
