It was a normal right on the boardwalk when Paul headed to the dinner where Y/n worked. A beautiful girl that had caught his attention a while ago. As Paul watched Y/n through the window before entering he saw the older scumbag of a coworker harassing her.
Paul couldnât take it so he entered the establishment and went up to her at the counter, immediately asking her. âIs he still bothering you?â
âHeâs a pain in the ass. So, yes.â Y/n sent him a tight smile as she tilted her head sarcastically.
âDo you want me to just kill him?â He offered ready to do it even if she said ânoâ.
Y/n looked at him from the side as she put some change away. âThats . . . a joke, right?â
â. . . That depends on how you feel about it, I think.â Paul looked like a puppy caught in the act of doing something it knows it shouldnât.
âIâll think about it and let you know.â She replied slowly, finding it odd she grabbed the tip jar.
âSeriously?â Paul looked at her shocked.
Y/n looked at him and raised a brow at his surprise. âDoes your offer still stand?â
âY-yeah.â He stuttered, nodding.
âThen Iâll think about it.â She nodded and went back to counting tips.
âWell, let me know. Iâll gladly gut him for you.â Paul leaned over the counter on his forearms sending her a flirty smile.
Y/n shook her head amused. âHow romantic.â
âAlways for you babe.â He winked, enjoying that he could amuse her.
âWhere are the rest of you boys?â She asked, wondering since she hadnât seen them all in a couple days. They didnât seem to split off from each other often.
âOff elsewhere. I came to visit my favorite girl.â Paul shrugged while sending her a sweet smile. He could feel his brothers were around on the boardwalk but he could find them later. They knew where he was anyway.
Y/n laughed. âSweet talker.â
âOnly for you.â
Y/n looked at him with pure disbelief. âI doubt that.â
âYou're the only one I mean it with.â And he did. Sure he pulled lines on the girls he lured away to eat. But with the Y/h/c-ed girl in front of him he actually meant the words he said.
Y/n looked at him for a long minute studying his features and she found no sign of lying and Paul wasnât a good liar. âThat I for some reason believe.â
âAnd you should.â Paul smiled, she could trust him. He wouldnât betray that trust.
âOh?â Y/n raised a brow. Most people steered clear of him and his brothers. But Y/n didnât see why everyone was so judging of them. Sure she was wary at first but after getting to know them all a bit and getting to know Paul the most they werenât bad guys.
Paul leaned back and placed his hand over his undead heart. âIâd never lie to you babe.â
âGood to know.â It was nice to know as long as he kept to that statement. Y/n did want to go back to his previous offer. âSo murder on my behalf?â
âAnything for you.â Paul would kill a thousand people if she asked. Granted he might need help keeping track of the numbers but Marko would gladly join him.
âBold statement.â Y/n leaned towards him over the counter.
âBold guy.â Paul smiled confidently.
âActions speak louder than words.â She countered staring him in the eyes.
âThen give me the go ahead and his organs can be spilled all over the beach.â He wouldnât normally speak so bluntly about nurder that would be Marko. But Paul felt comfortable and like he could be himself around Y/n. Like she wouldnât mind the type of conversation he normally had with his brothers. And considering she didnât know about the vampire thing (yet), all the boys found that fascinating.
âSounds messy.â Y/n pretended to think about it.
"A little mess never killed anyone. . . Well, except him.â Paul blinked realizing it would at least kill her coworker.
Y/n laughed but then sighed and sent Paul a bummed out look knowing sheâs spent to much time chatting with him. âI have to get back to work.â
âWhen does your shift end?â He stood up straighter, he didnât want to stop talking to her, maybe sheâd let him take her out.
âIn 30 minutes. Why?â She answered while whipping down the counter top, so it at least looked as if she was doing her job.
âI wanna take you out after. What do ya say?â Paul was shooting his shot and he hoped sheâd say âyesâ.
Y/n bit her lip. âDepends.â
âDo what?â Now his confident smile dropped slightly and eager concern replaced it. Whatâd he need to do for her to say âyesâ. He wanted to know, heâd do anything she just needed to say it.
âHow well you keep your word.â
Paul bounced on his feet, eager to prove himself. Especially if it involved killing her coworker. âLet me prove it.â
And it just happened, said coworker passed by and smacked Y/nâs ass with a slimy smirk on his face as he walked away. Paul noticed how tense Y/n got and he was fuming and seeing red.
âGive me the word.â Paul had to hold back the anger he felt and looked at Y/n with determination and a slight pleading to let him loose on this asshole.
âMake it hurt.â Y/n looked at Paul with what he could only describe as hell on wheels in her eyes.
âPromise. See you in 30 babe.â Paul leaned over and pecked her cheek with a kiss and he turned to leave. As he was leaving Paul locked onto his new target's scent. He definitely wouldnât be showing up to work tomorrow.
