Hi this psa is brought to you by my boss nearly killing us via carbon monoxide poisoning.
Heaters like this are labelled for Indoor/Outdoor usage, however that indoor label is misleading af.
Indoors in this context means a drafty garage or car port, not your living room or bedroom. Unless the room you're in is well ventilated with fresh air, don't use this fucker indoors.
Please reblog for visibility, this could quite literally save a life.

winter is my SEASON. as a december baby and a certified winter princess im qualified to talk about to have the most princessy, sugary winter that you've ever had and were gonna explore just that in this post…💬🎀
WINTER BEAUTY ;
when i think of winter beauty i think of glittery, shimmery eyelids and frosty pink lips. glittery nails, long dolly lashes, and LOTS and lots of ribbons and furry accessories. winter beauty is about looking fabulously flushed from the cold, looking and feeling like a glittery winter fairy ᡣ𐭩 •。ꪆৎ ˚⋅💕
lets start off with the makeup. first and foremost wash ur face and prep ur skin cuz it makes ur makeup look 10x better…💬🎀
♡ prime and prep ur skin
♡ put on ur foundation
when putting on foundation it helps to apply the product onto the top of ur hand and apply with a brush for more coverage 💓🍨
♡ next, use some concealer as needed
♡ fill in ur brows
♡ now feel free to prep ur eye lids if u have some redness, but we're gonna go in with an icy eyeshadow. for this look lets do a light blueish grey tone and just put that all over our eyelid
♡ put a darker blue color on the outer corner of ur eyes, and very gently blend outwards towards ur brows as u see in the first photo above. then go in with an angelic light blue on the inner area of ur eyelid (not the inner corner)
♡ use a bit of eyeliner to make ur eyes stand-out
this makeup look is focused highly on the EYES and the lips so feel free to do ur face as u normally would, contouring, blush etc ❄️🍧
♡ go in with some GLITTERY eyeshadow to make ur eyes shine and you can NEVER have enough shimmer
♡ next put on some half lashes because they rly pull this look together and dont forget to apply mascara onto ur lower lashes to make ur eyes look fuller
♡ a little highlight under ur brows for that blingy 2000's look
now lets talk about how to do the PERFECT FROSTY LIP. u wanna start by outlining ur lips with a lip liner that is on the rosier side. nyx has a lot of good ones like that. go in with a baby pinkish or a light pink lipstick (i say both these things cuz you'll know what looks good on u) and finish off with a shimmery lipgloss
furthermore we need a yummy winter scent! invest in some yummy scents like…💬🎀
♡ soft, powdery scents
♡ warm cashmeres and cake scents
♡ the bath and body works snowflakes and cashmere scent specifically is so nostalgic to me
♡ frosty petal and berry scents
we should also be prepared to protect our gorgeous doll skin from the harsh winter weather so make sure that ur doing ur skincare accordingly! look for creamy, hydrating formulas and make sure to cleanse gently in little circles ᡣ𐭩 •。ꪆৎ ˚⋅ after you've cleansed, use a nice rich serum to keep ur skin plump and hydrated and NOT dry.
another thing, chapped lips are a NO this winter so make sure that ur walking around with ur yummy chapstick to protect ur lips from the cold and keep them pillowy soft…💬🎀
♡ creamy lipglosses
♡ whipped soaps and body butters
WINTER ESSENTIALS ;
during the winter time, use a lotion that is on the thicker side because we should be moisturized all year round but ESPECIALLY in the winter. because its so cold, lean towards lotions that are thicker and creamier. also look out for lotions that have oils, or glycerin/sodium lactate (these are all humectants and they're FANTASTIC for hydrating ur skin).
♡ thick lotions, creams and body butters
♡ a christmas wishlist written in a pink glitter gel pen OR a fluffy pink pen
♡ chapstick and LOTS of shimmery lipgloss
♡ herbal teas and supplements
during the winter time, there we're exposed to reduced sunlight, and seasonal illnesses. and that not hot!! so make sure that ur taking supplements like vitamin D (cuz during the winter time, we tend to spend more time indoors and have less exposure to sunlight, which is crucial for vitamin D synthesis) ᡣ𐭩 •。ꪆৎ ˚⋅ along with other things like zinc, elderberry, and other probiotics.
DISCLAIMER : its crucial for u to do ur own research when it comes to ur health so make sure that u do that before applying anything that u learn on the internet for ur own safety!…💬🎀
some teas that i recommend in the winter time is ginger tea, peppermint tea and lemon balm tea. i also rly love rosehip tea cuz it is SUCH a treat 💕
♡ hot chocolate with pink marshmallows and whipped cream
♡ a bouncy blowout
♡ big fluffy lashes
WINTER FASHION ;
winter is literally THEE season for over the top accessories like earmuffs and mittens. invest in some super cute fluffy earmuffs and gloves, fluffy boots and puffy coats with fur trimmed that are cinched at the waist to look like an adorable winter doll! mini skirts, tights and leg warmer combo is also very doll for the winter.
this winter we're giving the baby pink and white color scheme, with long silky hair, icy pink lips, victoria's secret pink perfumes and BODY GLITTER…💬🎀
on the winter wardrobe shopping list/checklist we have thick tights and stockings, thick comfy pajamas, a couple or more cute pairs of boots, a winter coat etc.
ribbons
legwarmers
thick tights
thick stockings
comfy pjs
boots
adorable winter coat
fur coat
some more things that are rly winter-esque in fashion are those fur coats. they're SO luxurious and so pretty + they keep u warm so they're an absolute STAPLE when it comes to winter fashion. look for things that are FUZZY cuz they rly radiate those amazing winter vibes.
WINTER MOOD BOARDS ;
PREPPING FOR WINTER ;
♡ buy some new body scrubs. because its so cold and we're usually covering up more during the winter months, its the perfect opportunity to work on and perfect ur body care routine so dont neglect that
♡ buy a nice fuzzy blanket or one of those heated blankets cuz shit gets cold, and we wanna stay as warm and toasty as possible 💕
In regards to the snowstorm as well, please please please keep emergency blankets, food, and water in your car if you HAVE to go out. Otherwise stay home !! If you can call out of work, please do! If you can stay out of class, please do!
And please pray for those who have to weather this storm outside ;; humans and animals alike are going to suffer severely. If you can provide clothing and/or shelter, you could save a life.
Chill is in the air, and with it comes sleeping spirits. It's a season for rest, and with it we spend more time in our nests and dens, bundled up with or without our mates and pups and packs. But how many of us properly prepare for it rather than being startled with the first snow?
So, how do we prepare?
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . First . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ .
We clean out the dust and dirt of the summer. Take apart your nest, wash and dry all the materials that were in it. If you use essential oils in your scenting, add some into your dryer. If you line dry, add it into the washer with your soap. Some more diluted perfumes (Eau De Toilette dilution) can also be added but be careful if you have delicate fabrics in the wash. I like to add Florida Water into my wash. I also recommend you do this with any normal bedding as well. If you have pups, I suggest you stick to sensitive or scent free for their bedding unless you speak to a doctor about what essential oils may be safe. No judgment from me but ideally if you choose to put scents in your pups(') spaces, try to stick to essential oils or gentler things, as some artificial scents can cause irritation to your pup's delicate skin. They're not as tough as us adults yet!
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . Second . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ .
We sweep, dust, and vacuum all corners and pop the windows open if you can to let the fresh air sweep through the house. Make sure you turn off your heaters for the moment while they're open so you don't run up the electrical bill. Take down curtains and pull out any towels or linens that have been sitting gathering dust and wash those next. You can do the essential oil trick again, but you don't have to! Because of a wondrous thing called ✧Linen Sprays✧! You can even make your own custom linen sprays, which will be a post at a later time. But I recommend spraying down your curtains with a linen spray, allowing your scent to easily permeate your home without wax melts or candles. Which actually leads to-
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . Third . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ .
When buying candles or wax melts, try to look for ones with your scents. If you have a mate, I recommend getting either a candle with both of your scents in it, or one for each of you and your mate. If you live with pack members, do the same for them too if you'd like! Refresh your scent regularly in your house over the winter months with linen sprays on your curtains, couches, pillows, and other such items. And most importantly is if you can, crack open a window and let your house breathe at least once a week. If you have pups, I recommend diluting your scents with things like lavender or fresh linen or cotton. Things to signal to your pups' brains to relax and wind down, especially in evenings or in bedrooms. This can be helpful in things like your own bedroom as well if you wish. Because this is a season of rest, so we want to make sure that we promote relaxation as much as possible.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . Fourth . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ .
Resting is important in the colder months, which means we should do things that will allow us rest. On top of the above suggestion of diluting scents with restful ones, make sure to keep your bedroom slightly colder and darker than the rest of the house, it helps lower your metabolic rate slow and release melatonin. And I hear you ADHD beings, melatonin is fucked for you and me, but a teeny bit of melatonin is better than none at all. Also if you can't get enough homemade melatonin, store-bought is fine! Another way to promote good rest is to stand in the sun for a couple minutes in the morning, as well as try to make your couch or nest a spot for daytime awake relaxing and minimize the time you spend in bed to when you are actively trying to sleep in order to train your brain that bed = sleep.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . Fifth . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ .
F O O D. A key component of preparing for winter will always be food. While living in the city vs living in rural spaces (as I do) can mean different situations with food, I feel that the basics can work between both. I also will never recommend expensive food like steak or things like that, I am broke so you all will always get budget friendly ideas. Keep in mind, that I do comparison shop because I'm lucky enough to do so, and sometimes things may be more expensive in your area. My ideas are just suggestions and guidelines, never strict rules. But to begin, we recognize the usefulness of spices in our day to day cooking and the effects they can have on the body. Things like cinnamon, ginger, anise, turmeric, cumin, and other such spices can cause our body to warm because they stimulate thermogenesis. On top of that, a good way to promote warmth and rest in the body is to keep a higher protein intake than normal. Additionally, things we can eat if you want to feel sleepy are foods that naturally have high amounts of Tryptophan, like cheese, squash seeds, lamb/goat/poultry (poultry being the most affordable of these), chia seeds, and soybeans. A good tip to remember is that most stores sell turkey, a poultry high in tryptophan, at a loss during holiday seasons in order to get people in the doors, so if you have freezer space, stock up! Conclusion for this is eat warmly spiced high protein foods and try to include ingredients high in tryptophan whenever possible to promote rest. Unless you have to be fully aware and awake for work, in which case, I recommend avoiding these mostly. (I will be posting a link at the bottom of this post to a study paper in the National Library of Medicine about the connection between diet and sleep in case you would like to check it out)
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . Sixth . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ .
If you are a couple that is trying for pups, now is the time. Having pups in the spring and summer time is the ideal time as you have less risk of your pups becoming dangerously cold and by the time they begin eating solids you will have access to a wide range of nutritious foods. And for your own cuteness effect, they will be old enough to be in wonder of Christmas lights (So cute!!~) and will be just a tad bit easier to handle at holiday gatherings as you will have had time to settle into routine and they will have built a sturdier immune system. (Always make sure you get your flu and covid vaccinations, everyone, to make sure our elders and pups and immunocompromised community members do not suffer too badly from illness in the fall and winter seasons!)
And with that comes the conclusion of my six tips for winter in 2025. I hope this was helpful and if you have any questions, drop me an ask! I would love to hear any suggestions on topics you would like to hear about as well. Stay Well!
Two factors intrinsic to health are diet and sleep. These two behaviors may well influence one another. Indeed, that insufficient sleep adve

Winter Heater Safety & Other Cold Weather Survival Methods
As I'm sure, many of you have seen the effects of the winter storm in Texas a few years ago, along with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene going into winter that year. It's very important to be prepared for such emergencies.
It's also just as important to know safety procedures when using equipment such as heaters in these types of emergencies. Knowing how to properly shelter and ventilate along with setting the right types of smoke and fume detectors.
In such emergencies, when there isn't any power and you have to use a generator or a propane heater, it's paramount that you have proper ventilation or in the case of a generator place it outside under cover so the fumes dont collect inside your home. Read the warnings on the instruction packs and save said instructions for these emergencies so you can re-read them if necessary or for peace of mind.
My grandmother recently purchased a BuddyFlex propane heater (pictured above), which you can buy an accessory stove top attachment for. This way you can heat your home and cook both with proper ventilation as the fumes sink to the floor so an open doggy door right next to it or a low vent leading outside is paramount for safety. This also shouldn't be in reach of children as it gets very hot nor should it be on anything except thick tiles or concrete to prevent a fire should it be knocked over.
It's important to note that many new heaters are built with an anti tip frame style or tipping shutoff. Sometimes both.
Please take this with a grain of salt and do your own research. FireStations often have pamphlets with information pertaining to this topic and others that you can get from them. I suggest asking around.
