A/N- @illneverrecover @omgawkward @windy-scribbles For You, my furry friends~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jumin continued sipping his wine as he waited for you. He allowed his tongue to revel in its tang, sloshing it around in his mouth walls before swallowing. Licking his lips for another quick aftertaste, the man began to mentally analyze its taste and scent, jokingly testing himself to see if he knew what wine he was sipping without glancing at the bottle.
It was thick, to say the least. Bubbly at the swallow and rich in its gnashed fruit combination. He could taste blueberry, cherry, and a pinch of mint. Clearly not the best wine heâs tasted so far, but Jumin had been offered by the flight attendant. SHe claimed the alcohol to be special and old; over ten years.
Old wine was better than the new ones, this was a fact Jumin had learned and agreed on during his stay at the wine industry when he went abroad. He had been introduced to various categories of wine, and though he admitted he did not like drinking wine, Jumin was slightly fascinated at what could become of fermented grapes and a pinch of alcohol.
He closed his eyes, trying to rack his ingenious brain of what specific brand this old bottle contained of. Something in French, perhaps? One of the Romantic languages anywayâŠ
He opened them suddenly, a ghost of a smile coating his lips: Chùteau Pétrus 2006.
Jumin gazed at the rich crimson liquid, letting it swirl around his crystal cordial glass. He wondered, were humans as enjoyable as alcoholic beverages? He could not  wait to test that theory.
Someone sat in front of him suddenly, a brisk aura about them, as if they had just returned from the cold weather outside of the warm plane. Jumin turned his soft gaze from his glass to the woman sitting across from him. Although he didnât it show (after all, he never loses his cool sangfroid), Jumin felt his heart race.
He had met with beautiful corporate heiresses before, but none like the one in front of him. Her chestnut bangs evened out her hidden forehead, allowing her piercing eyes to show. Cheeks slapped with an airy blush, her rounded face soon curved into sharp jawlines that illuminated her poreless skin. Her silky strands were pinned up into a loose, yet professional bun, exposing her neck.
He let his silver eyes roam gently, and quickly, over what was below her chin. A small diamond necklace embroidering her collarbone, which was bony and prominent. Her suit was simple; a black ruffle dress shirt tightened with an obsidian belt and...well, thatâs where the damn table let him decide for himself what sort of bottoms she was wearing. Dress pants, he presumed.
You smiled at him. âGood evening. I presume you are the infamous Jumin Han I have been scheduled to meet with.â
He redirected his eyes to meet your bright ones. âNo doubt you presumed correctly. After all, if I remember right, I am âinfamousâ?â He lifted his glass to look over the rim at your face.
You allowed your lids to fall slightly into a comfortable expression, placing a satchel he had not noticed before to the side and leaned over the leather armrest of your seat. âForgive me if it came out that way. You are well-known among those in the business world.â
A waiter passed by your table and settled an open menu in front of your seating. You glanced up with a polite âthank youâ before scanning your eveningâs options. Jumin swallowed the rich wine, but was disinterested in the taste. Something, or rather someone, more captivating had caught his eye.
He settled his cordial glass down to the side, watching you with blazing charcoal irises. You had skimmed over the menu for no more than three seconds before shutting it lightly and placing it down neatly. You crossed your hands over the table, leaning in.
âMade your choice so quickly?â
âI am an impatient woman, Mr. Han,â You replied smoothly. âA few selections of the same meat roasted differently in an aircraft is nothing special to me. All I need is a bite of something sufficient enough to satisfy my hunger pains.â
He raised a clean eyebrow. âYou starved yourself before a flight?â
âMm, starving isnât a word I would use to describe my condition.â You mused to yourself, looking down to recollect your thoughts. âI suppose you would call me âirresponsibly rashâ.â
Jamin let out a small snort. You were too punctual for your own good, but there was the indication behind your humor showing that you were from what he referred to as a âcommoner backgroundâ. The waiter returned and collected their menus. You looked up and smiled briefly before stating your orders for the night.
âIâll have a Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame â98, please.â You glanced over at Jumin, enjoying his subtly wide eyes before continuing. âAnd a Montealegre Special.â
The waiter nodded with a slight bow of his head, before walking off, your order fresh in his mind. You turned back to your host for the night, pulling your sleeves together as you crossed them in wait once more. âNow, where were we? Ah, right. We were discussing my diet, werenât we?â
Jumin seemed to snap out of his surprised trance, focusing his gaze on you. âYou didnât tell me you drink such expensive wine. Especially white wine.â He stated this rather bluntly.
You laughed, leaning back into the leather and relaxed your shoulders. âMr. Han, we just met. How would you know anything about me unless I told you so?â
âI always love a good surprise,â Jumin lifted his glass for a physical feel. He was shaken and thankful to God that he met a woman like you. âAnd please, call me Jumin.â
You raised an elegant eyebrow. âWhy? I thought this was a strictly professional business meeting between two corporate heirs?â
He smiled; you were too innocent for his own good. It pleased him. âNever mind that. Two human beings have no restrictions to friendly exchanges. I, for one, do not mind if you call me by my first name.â
You shifted in your seat when your wine was brought to you in a bottle and a fine cordial glass, one similar to Juminâs. The waiter expertly poured the sparkling liquid into your glass, a light tinkling heard along with the honey-colored fluid being spilt. The waiter set down the bottle next to you and bowed his head before taking his leave.
Raising the wine to your lips, you closed your eyes as you took a light sip. Your eyelids tightened as the bitter tang of the honey-berry mix stung your throat. You swallowed unsteadily; of course, you reminded yourself, itâs been a while. Juminâs eyes smiled when he saw your discomfort.
âNot to your liking?â
You licked your lips for an aftertaste; a mistake you would learn to regret later on throughout the night. Your right eye twitched as your let your buds get used to the taste of alcohol once more. It had been only two years since your last alcoholic meeting with wine, but stillâŠ
âNo,â Your voice cleared slowly. âItâs just...been a while since I last drank.â
Jumin leaned forward slightly, dropping his tone. âWell, donât push yourself. Drinking alcohol simply to impress is not a good way to start off a professional impression.â
You ducked your chin into your neck to show offense. Settling your glass down, you stared into the eyes of the businessman, as if scolding a child who cursed. âI beg your pardon?â
Sitting back amused, Jumin smiled in a challenging manner. âDid I offend you, madam?â
âI have a name.â
âOne you have not yet introduced.â
You froze, then furrowed your brows at him. Did you ever tell him your name? You stared at him. He rose his eyebrows in wait, still smiling. Damn, that smile. It turned your insides into a racing heap of organs. This man was powerful; not only with monetary issues, but he seemed like a people person as well.
âMy apologies.â You straightened your back and took your wineglass into your fingers once again. âI go by MC.â
âMC?â
âJust MC.â
He thought about this for no more than five seconds before sinking into a relaxed position. He, too, lifted his wineglass to meet yours in a delicate clink, before bringing the rim to his lips. âMC it is, then.â
Part Two is out now!
Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The girls took selfies every two millimeters, barely making their way up the steps to the arena. Caedan held her selfie stick up high with the beautiful sunrise of Hasetsu, snowy mountain ranges giving the sun rays way to illuminating an orange-red sky as Kai followed up behind her, smiling away. Both women flashed brilliant smiles, silly faces, and unnecessary poses, the camera clicking along to their movements.
Thomas turned around to see if they followed up. Nope, he sighed. They were still down two flights, just as he expected. He had repeated for them to hurry their asses up over five minutes ago. Into one ear and out the other.
âLadies,â the teal-haired man called, exasperated. âYou both better get up here or I wonât share my Lays with any of your during practice.â
Caddy paused mid-smile and nearly bolted up the stairs when her friend tugged her backwards. Kai frowned knowingly at Caddy, whose mouth was drooling. Already? As usual.
âDonât be a prick, Tom.â Kai smiled up at him. She began to pull the drooling Caddy up the steps, a little faster than before. âWe know youâll take those chips to the grave if you had to preserve them so.â
Feeling a small smirk curl on his lips, Thomas stuffed his hands into his sweatshirt pockets, rubbing them against the patterned cotton to create friction for his numb hands. âYou know it.â
Whining childishly, Caddy threw her head back in a groan, loosening her scarf a bit in the movement. âToooooooooooom.â
âCaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddy.â He repeated back in the same tone.
âShare.â She pouted, her hazel eyes glistening in the morning light. Thomas swallowed.
âWeâll see.â
Kai leaned in to whisper, âHeâs lying.â as she jogged up the steps to get her body warmth running faster than it should. Hasetsu could get pretty cold in the winter time. It wasnât Kaiâs first time there, but she remembered visiting the hot springs with her late parents as a child.
Eyelids dimming at the nostalgic memories, Kai was suddenly nudged by an elbow, nearly throwing off her balance. She recovered in time to see Caddy ahead of her by four or five steps, throwing her head back to wink playfully at her.
Rolling her eyes but smiling nonetheless, Kai ran up after Caddy, planning a quick revenge on her friendâs little trick. Thomas had a satisfied look on his face as he nodded and walked up his own flight of stairs slowly.
Little did he know, his nimble girlfriend was quickly catching up, a sneaky grin growing on her face. Unfortunately for Thomas, the man was deep in thought as he lifted leg after leg up each tread. Still walks like an old man, Kai giggled internally.
SMACK!
Arching his back and yelping with a voice a few octaves higher than his normal masculine voice, Thomas had little than five seconds to react to Caddy wildly cackling at her naughty deed and scrambling up the steps to run away from any potential cat-and-mouse chase that could occur.
He stood there for a few moments in pure shock and Kai couldnât understand why he didnât do something else besides for freezing up. Okay, she smacked your butt; get over it, dude. Itâs not youâre new to anything sexual. Jesus, the other day Kai caught him and her friend rubbing each other out in a closet.
I mean, what is shame to this couple?
Kai caught up to the steps Thomas stood on and stopped to catch her breath. âHey,â she braced her palms on her knees, gasping for air as she spoke. âYou okay, buddy?â
Jolting out of his statue-like state, Thomas turned embarrassingly to Kai, then swiftly turned away from her gaze. Was that...a blush? âItâs nothing.â
Glancing down, he cleared his throat and started up the steps once more, walking with his thighs closer than before. If Kai peered closer, she could see that...oh my. She was right; he was a masochist. Here was Caddy, who tried to brush off that Thomas was nothing but a sadist to Kai last night.
She scoffed. Yeah, some sadist. One butt slap and this guy was already popping boners.
Making her way up the last flight of stairs once more, Kai began to have thoughts. As horny as her friends were, she loved their relationship and how they interacted often with one another. They skated together, ate out (no sexual pun shut up), and wine-and-dined almost on a regular basis. Thomas may be a food hogger, but when it came to spending some moolah on his beloved, limits meant nothing.
Kai rubbed her arm as she tried to recall why this relationship seemed so familiar. Her heart beat faster when the memories and events came flooding in harder than it usually hit her.
Viktor Nikiforov.
They spent no more than two years together, hooking up at the mere age of sixteen with the figure skater. They practiced couple dances for the ISU (International Skating Union) when she first joined. She believed she fell in love with the man as soon as he gave her attention. It was a nice feeling; one she wouldnât trade for the world.
Post winning medal after medal, both finally dropped out of the Olympics for the second gold in a row and agreed to expand on their current relationship status. They had great chemistry, it was true, but their body heat while skating did more than just provide heat to the couple during competitions, or practice even.
They grew closer with every interaction and Kai didnât mind the physical affection or sweet words Viktor bestowed on her constantly, as she was used to such adoration by her childhood environment. She returned the affections and one night, they crossed the line.
Suddenly, Kai felt as if they werenât together for the right reasons. It gnawed at her when he kissed her neck; burned her heart whenever he proclaimed her a goddess; and jolt her into a choked sob as he rocked his hips into hers.
âYO!â
Kaiâs thoughts were sliced through like butter when she realized she had no more steps to climb and nearly tripped over air. Catching her balance for the second time that morning, Kai glanced up at the familiar voice who called her so suddenly.
Caddy waved at her through the automatic doors, encouraging her to hurry over to the arena. She was already tied in her skates, with Thomas tying his own in the background. âCome on! Someoneâs waiting for you! Youâre not gonna keep them waiting, are you?â
Her heart skipped. He said he was on a business trip. Heâs back already? Heart in her throat, Kai broke into a small run, barely pausing to let the automatic doors process her presence. She didnât bother giving Caddy a second glance, her friendâs small smirk growing as she flew past.
Scanning her ID card into a slot, Kai ran into the locker room when she saw his hair. Skidding to a stop, the woman let her breath leave her as she murmured his name softly.
âAaron.â
He lifted his head from his phone. Ears perking up at his title, the man turned, smiling expectantly. His glasses brimmed over his nose, giving his sharp jaw a shadowed look. One side of his amber hair was pulled back into a small ponytail while leaving the rest of his wavy locks down around his face frame like a crown. Those bright eyes twinkled at her when they contrasted with his scarlet vest. Suit and tie...Kai loved her men like that.
Shoving his glasses higher up his nose bridge, he spoke with that velvety innocence of his, throwing Kai into a soft shudder. âHello, Adjana.â

Should I make a Part Two?
