Twin brothers from the Olmakhan who decided they wanted to explore Tyria. And for some comedy, under the cut is that one time I decided to climb my guild's old guild hall staircase with him (RIP giant staircase) that went all the way up to the skybox just to see how much damage it would do if I jumped off it.

👩 = What’s your muse’s relationship with their mother, what made it that way?

Out of the twins, Macen is closer to his mother than Seppo is, and he spent much of his cubhood learning how to make pottery with her. She's also the one who taught him how to use his magic much more effectively... and with much more mindfulness.

He's not unhappy with anyone in his family, of course, but he was just genuinely closer to his mother growing up.

👨 = What’s your muse’s relationship with their father, what made it that way?

Though he's not quite as close to his father as he is with his mother, he doesn't have a bad relationship with him. He credits him with encouraging the twins to head out and explore the world since the Olmakhan were finally reached out to.

He's a quiet, softspoken charr, but he clearly thinks highly of his twin sons. And Macen is aware he would go to the ends of Tyria to help them if they needed it.

⚰️ = How would the loss of a family member affect them? Does it vary based on type of family member?

It would vary greatly depending on the family member.

He'd be fairly upset if they lost their parents, but the worst would be if he lost Seppo. They're identical twins and incredibly close, and while they're their own people with their own motives and ways in life, it would still be incredibly painful to lose his twin. Especially since they have no other siblings; it's just the two of them.

✨ = How important is family to your muse?

Incredibly so! The Olmakhan are his family. His parents and his brother are his family. And they mean a great deal to him. He knows that the person he is largely exists because of the people that love him, and he is incredibly grateful for that.

7. Do they have any skills or abilities that their class wouldn't normally have/just go about their class differently in some kind of way?

All of the trap abilities Oaklinna uses as a Dragonhunter look far more like vines and branches than the actual guardian abilities themselves. She doesn't know why, either. And the vines, if she's using her abilities at night, actually glow with the same color as her bioluminescence.

Some of the asura in the guild have speculated it was her connection to Trahearne, though no one knows why it would have started manifesting like this so much recently.

(This partly plays into my bestie @wall-legion's Trahearne is the New Pale Tree fic but.)

12. Have they "completed" the map? What does that look like in your canon?

Macen and his brother have only very recently started their exploration of mainland Tyria, and Macen at least is very interested in seeing as much of it as possible. They grew up amongst the Olmakhan, so their knowledge of the greater world is much more limited than other charr from the High Legions.

Though they've started in charr lands, Macen himself has an interest in traveling to the sylvari lands, finding the strange, plantlike race to be incredibly fascinating.

As far as what it looks like in my canon, it just mostly encompasses being well traveled. And he's keen on being just that.

14. Biggest misconception about them?

There aren't very many, but one of the big ones is that because Danica tends to just be a very jolly, positive person, she's not very emotionally intelligent. Quite the contrary: she's very emotionally intelligent, and motherly towards the younger members of the guild.
