OH! Something that only occurred to me while watching today, but Wind Breaker is also super cool because it has multiple examples of nonverbal characters.
First we have Kusumi, one of Kaji's vice captains. I don't think he ever speaks and as matter of fact he actualy is seen communicating by typing things on his phone and having people read it. What I live about him is that he's smiley and seen as the sweet one in the second year leadership.
Then we have Uryu, one of Tsubaki's vice captains. I can't remember exactly, but I feel like he spoke like once and both his brother and Tsubaki treated it like a big deal (don't quote me on that, I could be wrong). Unlike Kusumi, he's a lot more stoic.
Honorary mention to Sugishita who, while he does speak, he does so pretty sparingly and even then does so in a very stitled way.
Just, the fact that we have multiple examples of characters who really do not communicate verbally, and differences in personality and manners of communication in comparison is just so great.
