᯽ Drink of wine: Part 1 ᯽
“Please, this is one of the LAST things I will ever ask for you. Please Forrest.” She begged her oldest brother.
“You want me to poison you? Are you insane?!” He shouted at his sister, causing her to bring a finger to her lips.
“Either you do this for me, or the rivaling kingdoms will put a sword through me the moment they can. Forrest, please.” Those last words were a plead.
“What of Wilus and your children? What will happen to them..?” He questioned.
“That’s being taken care of tonight. I was waiting for a scribe to draw up the pages. Wil.. He will remain king in my death. Until Dean is old enough to take the throne.”
“This will destroy him, you know that right? He adores you. He will never be the same after.”
Mairead pondered this for awhile, and gave a single nod.
“Urge him to be better.. Please don’t let him abandon them. Dean and Samson will need their father’s guidance, a-and sweet baby Violet will need her brother’s to protect her..” Mairead’s voice cracked, and even in the dark, Forrest could tell she was crying. She only confirmed his suspicion by bringing her hands to her face.
“I would rather do this, so they do not have to watch me walk to the butchers block for crimes I didn’t commit.”
“Alright.. I’ll do it. One condition though.”
“Name it.”

Mairead returned to her room late at night, Wilus still awake waiting for her.
“My love, you’ve been gone a long time. Where did you go?” His voice was soft, and full of concern.
“I was speaking to the scribes. I need you to sign something for me.”
“What is it?”
“Nothing to fret over, you’ll find out soon enough.” She said quietly as she made her way to the dark wood desk in the corner of the room. She drew the quil from the ink and quickly signed her name on the paper. Dipping the quil back in the ink before walking to Wil and holding it out to him.
He looked at the paper that had been folded so the contents remained hidden, but questioned it no further as he signed his name on the paper next to hers.
“Don’t look at that paper until tomorrow. Just to give the ink enough time to dry.’ Mairead spoke, her words rushed. She flashed him her dazzling smile to try and sell that everything will be okay. He nodded, her back to him.
Wrapping his arms around her waist he asked,
“What’s going on, Mair? Is everything okay?”
She silently prayed to whatever gods looked out for her, hoping he didn’t feel her breath hitch.
“Everything is fine, Wil. I love you.”
A content hum was his only response.
That night, after Wil fell asleep, she went to her children’s room. Dean, only eleven, his brother, Samson following at eight, and their younger sister, Violet at three. All of them fast asleep. So peacefully unaware of the coming turmoil to come the next day.

The day passed in a flash, and suddenly she was seated in the dining room with her brothers, children, and her husband.
She ate in silence, throwing a glance to the goblet of wine she left untouched as she pushed her food around. Gently placing her fork down, she glanced around the table, her eleven year old and eight year old scarfing down their food. Wilus gently scolding them about manners. Her three brothers around the table as well, Forrest kept his eyes on her goblet, Damien sat quietly questioning Eric about guard academy.
Her family brought tears to her eyes, and gave her nod to Forrest, who announced the children should be off to bed. Only once the adults remained did Mairead stand, goblet of wine in hand and offer a toast.
“To the good health of my family.”
After that she drank deeply, until all that remained of the blood red drink was the drop on her lips.
It only took a few seconds after she placed the glass down for her world to start spinning. Mairead placed a hand to her forehead as Wil gave her a questioning look.
“Mair, are you alright?”
She couldn’t find the strength to respond, as she placed a hand on the tray on the edge of the table and fell to the floor.

“The queen is dead.”
Remus and Wilford are best friends and it annoys their kinda brothers so much that they bond over their annoyance and misery
and then Roman and Actor realize they both like being the hero and performing and become best friends too
So last summer I realized the potential a friendship between Wilford Warfstache and Remus Sanders could have and I’ve been anywhere from mildly to extremely obsessed with them (and any other interactions between sides and egos)
Well the obsession has peaked back up to extremely again and if anyone had any content with them that would be very much appreciated
Also I started calling and tagging them as Wilus for their ship/fusion name if y’all want a tag
