I travelled to Tipperary yesterday to take part in The Moyne AC summer games and competed in the opening event at 3000m. It was a nice challenge and definitely a run out of my comfort zone. So racing was back yesterday evening and it felt so good to be back at it. The event was organised by Popupraces and it was a field of 40 in groups of 4 with 30 seconds staggered starts. We were all met in Donadea beforehand and had to walk though a sanitising machine and it all went really well. Everything went off so well and I had a great run in an official time of 16:40 so I am really over the moon with that. The plan now as far as I am aware is to get more races like this going soon in a closed environment so we can all get back to racing again. Thank to you to all who organised and ran the event and for the invite to represent myself and my club. Got out today for a time trial with some of my WIP group mates and we all had a great day. Social distance was strictly adhered to with 30 second start gaps between each of us.
