Do you have any more will angelo headcanons?
hmm Anon I won't lie I haven't thought too much about it, but I can get the brain engines going and provide a few:
He's a huge Math nerd, Will assumes he must have bad grades because every time he's in class that man is either asleep or transparently zoning out. He actually is a STEM genius, which will lead him and Dustin to vibe when they all meet.
He enjoys horror movies for the chance to spend time with Will but is deeply terrified of them. Has to hold Will to get through the scariest scenes. Will is very okay with that.
He's in the road trip and he wants to see the painting soooo baaaaad he's so curious about it but the one time he asks Will about it Will gets so defensive he immediately drops it. Then later, after the van scene, Will tentatively approaches Angelo and apologizes for being defensive. He gives the excuse that it was a commission from El, but he looks very sad as he does and you can tell Angelo notices something is wrong. So he says something like "dude, that is awesome," and begins to outline absurd commissions he might ask Will to paint instead--a portrait of Argyle as Napoleon, a giant pineapple pizza monster, etc. Will ends up smiling, tells him he'd be glad to. Angelo looks soooooo much happier than this interaction should warrant.
I think someone should have taken the role of outsider doing meta-comedy by being perplexed at the convoluted lore of the show, so it's gonna be him. He keeps trying to catch up but every new development is too insane and everyone acts like it's normal. Jonathan is like, "yeah mom went to look for her dead boyfriend in Russia," and he's like "dead? Why would he be dead? ...Why is she looking for a dead man? ..........wait, did you say Russia?" And Will is just like, "we don't have time to get into all that."
He finds out El has powers and his first reaction is to look at Will and go, "wait, so do you have powers as well?" And Will, Jonathan and Mike are all like, no, what are you talking about. "But aren't you twins? Shouldn't you both have powers? Like in Super Friends?" Everyone dismiss that as him being silly and it's like a meta joke at the fans thinking Will might have powers, but later when Will's powers are revealed he's super excited jumping up and down, "I knew it!" And the entire general audience loves the obvious foreshadowing paying off.
Will mentions demogorgons at one point and he's like. "Demons? Are we dealing with demons here?" And Mike goes, "it's D&D, dude, keep up." And he's like "???????????? I have never played D&D in my life??????????" Will tries to explain what they are but they are interrupted by some plot-related shenanigans. Later, when the dust has settled, Will and Angelo are talking and Angelo says he knows they can deal with the monsters, the "gorgons." Will smiles and goes, "no, they can't turn anyone into stone yet." "See, so they're not that strong to begin with." Will chuckles, "it's demogorgons. But you almost got it right this time." And Angelo shrugs with an embarrassed smile and goes: "I did get it right. I made you laugh."
I am repeating the one I mentioned here but it's very crucial to me that he saves Will a piece of the pineapple pizza. And this is the moment where Will's brain does click, he blushes, smiles, stutters and very sheepishly, demurely accepts the pizza. Argyle is watching it like, "well dude it's not that big of a deal, we can get another pie if you guys want--" But Jonathan Understands and he's like "shhhhhhhhh let them be!"
