i really hate the way the fandom portrays will. especially with his relationship with nico. like i literally can't scroll through the will solace tag without being bombarded with fifteen million solangelo posts, as if that was will's entire character, as if his life revolves around nico. it doesn't. he has friends, siblings, a mother. shit, he was probably friends with annabeth a little or some of the other main characters. he's his own person.
i also hate how everyone thinks his whole thing is being innocent and bubbly and extroverted and all that. no it's not?? i saw somewhere where someone said that will is an introvert forced extrovert (also said nico was an extrovert forced introvert but that's for later) and i couldn't agree more. he's seen as extroverted and bubbly because that's how he's supposed to be, right? the son of apollo, god of music and the sun and poetry and whatever, naturally is gonna have really sweet kids, right? wrong. did we forget that kids aren't their parents. especially demigods. did we also forget that will was raised by a single mother in texas. that kid will not take your shit. he'll fucking drop kick you.
also?? he's the camp medic?? did we forget that he had to heal every wounded soldier in the titan war because ALL OF HIS SIBLINGS FUCKING DIED??? HELLO???? my guy has seen shit. he is NOT smiley. thank for your time.
