Popping in to show off Wiley (full name Wiley the Whale). The knitting pattern to make her is still free on @hi.ravelry. I'm pretty overwhelmed by the positive response to her. I hope those who have taken advantage of this cuddly whale pattern are enjoying it. Until now, I hadn't shared much with her because I've been trying to focus more on the ones I love, mental and physical health, managing stress, and expanding my learning and openness to change. Sharing things I make here is lovely, but I acknowledge that a part of the process is rooted in self-involvement and insecurity. Well. I'm thankful for the time and space to examine "flexing". And I do my best to keep this ugly side of my social media presentation in check. I'm in admiration of those forgoing social media at this time and I want to extend compassion to those who are struggling (not that these things are related). It feels difficult to offer words of hope without feeling disingenuous. This is definitely a time of change, and a time of examination. Let's dump the things that aren't working for us and keep the things that do. #summer2020 #WileytheWhale #whale #knitting #knittingpattern #knitwhale #Wiley #knit #knitstagram #instaknit #diy #stuffedanimal #❤#humpbackwhale #examination #2020 #change #struggle #findingyourjoy https://www.instagram.com/p/CB5-iqlDMeF/?igshid=1x9l85hio8zo
