I don't even remember the title, but there was a Danny Phantom fanfic where he not only gets captured and tortured by his own mother, but there was--I think it wasn't even the main fic but a like bonus alternate ending? but yknow SPOILERS--where he successfully went back in time and saved his past self, but then got recaptured. And this time, not only is he already traumatized, but he's from an alternate timeline. No one will know to even look for him.
I'M BARELY EVEN IN THAT FANDOM, BUT THAT FIC TRAUMATIZED ME.
Bonus, I forgot about these with the ask about stories that made me cry, but I accidentally read a couple major character death fics on Pixiv because Pixiv does NOT have an extensive tagging system, and I not only cried my eyes out, I wrote fic of one of the fic where He Doesn't Die. I was doing RESEARCH for it. I never finished the fic, but yknow. Helped.
