"Literature works from mind to mind and is thus more progenitive. It is at once more universal and more poignantly particular." - JRR Tolkien
This captures one of the things I love best about books, they're universal and poignantly particular. I've seen this with my Book Club. We all read and get something out of a particular book, but for some of us something about the book is more poignant. It's a magical thing to touch the mind of someone else.
