Mollyandherjumper very kindly tagged me for this. So there we go :
Rule 1: Post the rules
â¨Rule 2: Answer questions the tagged set for you in their post then make 11 new ones
â¨Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to your post
â¨Rule 4: Let them know youâve tagged them
1) Are you a back, side or stomach sleeper?
Side. Can't breathe on stomach and can't fall asleep on back. And when I'm on m side, I like to imagine someone spooning me. ( hehehe)
2) What did you learn to do first: ride a bike or swim?Â
Swim. My mom said I swam naturally around 4. And I really liked swimming under water for a really long time and give her frights. Then my father bought me a yellow swimming suit and started calling me his yellow submarine ( FYI, my name is Marine)
3) A song that reminds you of your OTP?
Sooooo many. Probably "I won't say I'm in love" from Disney!Hercules. BECAUSE THEY ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY
4) Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch have both just asked you to marry them. Whose proposal do you accept?Â
Tom Hiddleston because 17 years gap between BC and I is far too much IMO. Also, BC is rubbish at cooking and so am I. And Tom Hiddleston. Need I say more ? ( however, I'd bed them both :D )
5) How old were you when you found out the truth about Santa? The Easter Bunny? The Tooth Fairy?Â
All of them the same day when I was six and having lunch with my mother and I asked her to tell me the "true" truth about them. Which she did.
6) Whatâs your favorite trope in fanfiction?Â
I love AUs and genderswaps and magical realism. And domestic bliss. I'm cheesy like that :)
7) Do you prefer to wear fruity or floral perfumes/body sprays?
Floral. Fruity is usually too sugary for my tastes and the acidity of my skin doesn't wear them very well. Plus, I'm a honeysuckle kind of girl.
8) If you could travel anywhere in time and space (like the Doctor), where would you go?Â
That F******* question. Every time I meet a whovian it pops up and every time I give a different answer. Today, I'd like to go in the future to visit my great grand kids. Just to see if they look like me.
9) Name a food that makes you gag.Â
Er, I'm French and therefore, a foody. So everything. But I have a very soft spot for fraisiers and religieuses ( french pastries)
10) Whatâs your favorite Disney movie?Â
I adored Sleeping Beauty when I was a kid. Now I love Tangled and Enchanted.Â
11) What do you do for exercise? (if you donât exercise then yay letâs be lazy together
Well I practice fencing ( with a foil) and I go to the gym.
now for the questions :Â
1) Sherlock Holmes ask you to be his flatmate and the Doctor his companion. Who would you agree to go with ?
2) Party animal or good book with a cuppa ?
3) Paris or London ?
4) Musical or play ?
5) Over-bearing older sibling or uncontrolable younger sibling ?
6) If you could choose between a high IQ or your dream body, which would you choose ? ( no judgement, I ask myself the same question every day)
7) Are you an artist of any kind ( and yes, fanfic is art, even PWP crack :D)
8) Make a wish
9) Dog or cat ?
10) That book you can't put down even though you read it 10 times already

On the misty fall night, Tangie sat on a bench and wrote in her diary. She wrote of her day, the people she saw passing by, and how much she dreaded going to work the next morning.
The woman took out a piece of gum from her pocket, and began to unravel the paper around it, but was startled by a peculiar and alarming sound. "What the heck is that?" She whispered, turning around in her seat searching for where the noise could have came from.Â

Summary: After the Maitland kids outgrow their need for a nanny, Clara Oswald lands a job at TARDIS Industries, the worldâs leading company for technological research. It is there that she meets a man they call âThe Doctorâ, and the next chapter of their lives begins.
Author: Rebecca (whoufflepuffsanonymous)
Rating (so far): T
Authorâs Notes: Sorry for the gap between updates. Life, man. Just... life. Thanks once again to everyone who has sent encouraging comments! They mean a lot.
Clara awoke slowly at first, and then her eyes snapped open and a sinking feeling filled her gut.
âDoctor,â she said with a gasp of alarm. âIâve missed my train.â
He stirred and Clara sat up and tried to ignore the spot of drool sheâd left on his shirt. She didnât even remember falling asleep.
âWhat?â he said finally. âWhat time is it?â
Clara sat forward and covered her face with her hands. âHalf past nine. My train left over an hour ago.â
âCan you get another?â
âLast minute and at Christmas?â she replied incredulously. Clara turned and looked at him. âAny seats left are going to cost a fortune.â
The Doctor sat up straight and rubbed the side of his face as he tried to find a solution to this problem. He asked about coach tickets and Clara made a face, unable to stomach the idea of being trapped on a bus for god knows how many hours. Just the thought of it made her stomach queasy.
âI have to call my dad. Oh, god,â she muttered miserably.
Clara could feel tears welling but didnât want to cry, especially not in front of the Doctor. She stood up and walked into the kitchen to find her phone sitting on the counter by the sink. She felt disappointment and anger welling up inside of her to the point where she couldnât think straight. She started searching for her dadâs number in her phone when the Doctor appeared in the kitchen doorway.
âIâll take you.â
âWhat?â The number was dialling.
âTo Blackpool, to see your family. I can drive you.â
She stared at him. âYou have a car?"
âYes,â he replied, looking rather self-conscious about the fact.
Clara hit the âend callâ button and continued to stare at the Doctor while she tried to wrap her head around what he was saying. âYou want to drive four plus hours just because I missed my train?â
âItâs my fault you missed it,â he replied shamefully. âAnd you canât miss Christmas with your family, can you?â
A hesitant smile crept onto her face. âIf youâre seriously going to drive me all the way to Blackpool, you might as well stay for Christmas.â
âEh?â he replied. Clearly sheâd caught him off guard.
âI wouldnât let you take me there and then drive back the entire way all alone.â
âNo,â he insisted modestly. âI donât want to spoilââ
âDoctor,â she interrupted. âPlease. Come spend Christmas with me.â
The Doctor looked at her with a mixture of emotions in his eyes. She thought he was angry at first, but then his expression softened to something so sad that Clara didnât want to put a name to it.
And then he smiled.

It had apparently been a long time since the Doctor had been behind the wheel. Clara hadnât thought twice about it until his foot hit the accelerator.
He didnât slow down for turns, veered too close to the right for comfort, and once they were out of the city, he managed to stray from the motorways onto these tiny little country roads that were barely wider than the car.
âDoctor,â Clara said carefully as she braced herself against the passenger door. âWhere exactly are we?â
âItâs the GPS,â he insisted as he made a sharp turn. âItâs a more indirect route, but it should avoid most of the traffic and get us there faster.â
It didnât. They were in the car for three hours before they were even halfway to Blackpool. Clara wanted to take a nap but didnât feel comfortable enough to do so, plus she felt she ought to keep an extra eye out for the Doctor. She tried making conversation, but he would always turn to look at her when she spoke. They nearly ran off the road twice.
They did manage to have some danger free conversations, like when Doctor asked about her Christmas traditions. âWe used to always go to my Granâsâthatâs my mumâs mumâbut sheâs let Aunt Julie take over the hosting duties the past few years. I think sheâs gotten tired. Generally we all argue about putting up decorations and whoâs going to help with dinner while the kids fight over what to watch on telly. Itâs pretty standard. What about you?â
He grew thoughtful for a moment. âI like to go to church. I donât go every year, but I like the music. It reminds me of my parentsâthey hated church. We never went when I was a kid, even though my mum was from a big Catholic family. She loved Christmas, though. She had a beautiful voice, and she could make even the most obnoxious Christmas songs sound like the sweetest of hymns. I canât think of a Christmas song that doesnât remind me of my mum.â
Clara smiled. âThatâs really nice. My mum,â she chuckled, âbless herâcouldnât carry a tune. Dogs werenât howling in the street or anything, but she was always a shade off. She always sounded happy though, when she sang. Iâd almost forgotten about her singing,â Clara added in disbelief.
Their eyes met as the moment sank in, and it was a while before Clara reminded the Doctor to keep his eyes on the road.
Night fell shortly before they arrived in Blackpool. Clara directed the Doctor to her fatherâs address and they found a parking spot a few houses down the street. She had never been more relieved to place her feet on the pavement, even though the world still felt like it was moving.
âAre you sure your dad doesnât mind me staying?â the Doctor asked for what had to be the sixth time.
âYes, he said it was fine. Guest roomâs all made up and everything.â
Clara led the Doctor inside and announced their arrival loudly. Her dad didnât immediately come running, but their old fluffy grey cat hurried to greet them.
âAw, hello, Sal,â Clara said warmly as she placed her bag on the ground and knelt down to scratch under the catâs chin.
âYour dad has a cat?â
âObviously,â she replied with a chuckle.
Heâd gotten Sally shortly after Claraâs mum died. Sally had just been a kitten then.
Footfalls on the staircase alerted them to her fatherâs arrival downstairs. âYou made it!â he said happily before engulfing Clara in a warm hug.Â
He pulled back and regarded the Doctor curiously. âYou must be Claraâs doctor friend.â
âYeah, thatâs me,â the Doctor replied with a laugh as he shook her dadâs hand. âYou can just call me the Doctor.â
Mr Oswald chuckle but nodded. âAlright. So, are you two hungry?â
- - - -
The Doctor could sense Mrs Oswaldâs absence in the house despite having never known her. As they sat around the dinner table, it was clear that the empty seat next to him had been the one sheâd sat in for all of their family meals. There were knickknacks and other things about the house that screamed of a womanâs touch, and yet it had been nearly a decade since she had passed.
âSo, Doctor,â Mr Oswald began. âDo you not usually spend Christmas with your parents?â
âThey died when I was still a kid, actually.â
âOh,â Mr Oswald replied soberly. âIâm sorry to hear that. No other family?â
âNo, it was just us.â
âHow did they die?â
âDad,â Clara chided.
âItâs alright,â the Doctor assured them both. âIt was a car accident. Really dark, rainy night.â
He stabbed a potato with his fork and shoved it in his mouth.
âThatâs a right shame,â Mr Oswald replied.
The Doctor could feel Claraâs eyes on him. They had yet to talk about how his parents died on their own, or about the nature of her motherâs death. It was something theyâd both actively avoided in conversation, without avoiding their parentsâ memories altogether.
Hours later, Mr Oswald announced that the guest room mattress had developed some sort of mould and had to be thrown out. Clara was very upset by this news because heâd told her the guest room was ready over the phone. Apparently heâd discovered the mould while he was redressing the bed, but something suspicious in Claraâs tone suggested that this may have been his underhanded suggestion that her gentleman friend sleep on the sofa downstairs instead of in the bedroom next to hers.
âHonestly,â she said in a huff when she returned to the lounge with a folded duvet and two pillows.
The Doctor turned from his position by the mantle to look at her, and Clara smiled at him curiously.
âSnooping around?â she accused, crossing her arms over her chest as she approached.
âJust looking at pictures. Your mum looks nice.â
She looked at the photo he was referencing and she smiled almost as if the photo of her mother could smile back. âYeah. She was.â
âHow did she die?â
Clara didnât tear her eyes from the photo. âUm, she got sick. Really, really sick. And then she died.â
The Doctor brushed his fingers against hers and Clara grasped his hand tightly. For a moment neither said a word, and the Doctor could feel her grief as if it were a palpable thing. He knew what it was like to miss your mother at Christmas, but he didnât have a father or an extended family to comfort him. He wondered which was worseâto have no family or for your family to be broken and incomplete. He didnât need to know the answer.
Clara squeezed his hand and took a deep breath. âWe should get you sorted for the night.â
They unfolded the sheets and tucked them around the sofa cushions, all the while chatting about the big plans for the next day. They were going to decorate the Christmas tree, visit some of her neighbours, and then pop over to her auntâs for the annual family Christmas party. Clara once again mentioned how her Gran would be delighted to meet him and the Doctor had to interrupt her.
âThis is the third time youâve mentioned your Gran liking me. Should I be worried?â
Clara shrugged but wore a wicked grin. The Doctor breathed out a little laugh and for a moment neither of them said a word.
âThanks for making sure I was home for Christmas,â she said earnestly.
âOf course,â he replied, his voice lowering to match hers. âThank you for inviting me to stay.â
âOf course,â she echoed with a smile.
They both stepped forward until they were wrapped in each otherâs arms, their lips firmly pressed together as if theyâd been holding their breaths until this moment. The Doctor tightened his arms around her as Clara broke away. He didnât want her to go. As pathetic as it felt to admit, any moment away from her was agony. Luckily she didnât need any persuading, because in the next moment she pulled his head down for a deeper kiss, one that made it difficult to breathe or focus on anything other than the places their bodies touched.
The Doctor wasnât sure if she pulled him towards the sofa or if he lowered her onto it. All he knew was that Claraâs hair spilled onto his pillow like a halo and she moaned softly when his body sank heavily onto hers. Her fingertips dug into the back of his neck and between his shoulder blades while his hands remained snaked around her torso, pulling her as tightly against him as possible.
They were reminded of where they were as quickly as theyâd forgotten. Clara shoved him off her the second she heard her fatherâs footsteps on the staircase and the Doctor practically jumped to the opposite side of the couch. Clara stood and straightened her dress and smiled brightly at her father when he appeared in the lounge.
âGoodnight, Dad!â she said a little too cheerily before walking past him towards the hallway. Before she disappeared around the corner, Clara shot the Doctor an apologetic grimace that morphed into a satisfied grin before she ran up the stairs.
The Doctor hugged his pillow to his chest and tried not to look at Claraâs father. He could feel that he was staring at him expectantly, so the Doctor finally met Mr Oswaldâs eyes and tried not to look too guilty.
âYou know that mattress wasnât really mouldy, donât you?â he said simply.
The Doctor bowed his head and nodded. âYeah.â
It could have been a trick of the light, but the Doctor could have sworn Mr Oswald smiled just a little bit before wishing him a good night and walking upstairs. Â
