[Whomever speaks first gives up some power.]
I'm officially done with class work for the semester holy fuck
Man, Buck is receiving a lot of criticism for the whole āthe end of life doula sees me.ā (Which yes we know Eddie will forever be the greatest person to see through every minuscule twitch in Buckās beautiful face.)
But I think Buck is really just excited to talk about his death in a manner that isnāt serious. To the end of life doula, its not you died, Buck. Not in that solemn tone. With Natalia, heāll be able to process his death in a manner that is āsafeā for him. Nothing too mentally tasking. Like friends who are going out for coffee. Even with a therapist, the first thing they do is listen and see whether your reaction is healthy or not. Natalia is more curious of the aspects of deathāmorbid as it is. Itās not like sheāll grieve him. The him, he used to be. And the him, he will be. It literally wonāt matter to her. Natalia knows no difference.
Plus, no one likes to talk about death because of the pain and misery. The uncomfortableness that it brings to the table. And with the end of life doula, itās just as it is. It wonāt hurt her feelings, wonāt cause her sadness. I think he doesnāt want talk to someone who is emotionally invested in him because it is a sad topic. Buck doesnāt want to make his love ones feel discomfort. And people wonāt have to see him be vulnerable or scared. While yes, Buck has people who do want to talk to him about it. Doesnāt mean he wants to. Or have too. He was probably at a state of denial. Also I think itās always easier to tell a stranger first about your feelings than someone who knows you from the inside out.
Which is why when he does speak to Eddie about his death, itās entirely different. Eddie and him have seen each otherās lowest points, and they are solely connected. Theyāre each otherās safe place. And Buck will always return home.
Also I think you guys forget that Buck is a freaking nerd underneath those muscles, he likes sci-fi and paranormal stuff. I can see where the friendship with the death doula will help him out. Plus I think it be really great if we had a Buck funeral guys. Buck deserves reminders that heās loved.
Someone celebrates something behind this window. I do not know, who is celebrating life in which way behind there. Neither I was invited to celebrate nor am I interested in what celebration whoever might be involved behind this window. I just took a photo. Later I thought about what and why. And so I texted, what I left here as a text. No more. No less. Something like nothing...

Ok, so I was sitting down to pick out the Good Omens theme song by ear today, and it is just a masterpiece. The orchestration, the contrasting themes, its indecision as to whether to be major or minor,Ā the PERCUSSION, the way it builds as the world progresses to an ineffable end...
But hereās my favorite thing:Ā
After the angelic B theme, the modulation back to the A theme goes UP A TRITONE, from the tonal center of A to Eb.Ā
The tritone, the interval that occurs when you divide the Western musical octave equally in half, was historically believed to be calledĀ diabolus inĀ musica or THE DEVIL IN MUSIC, and was avoided as much as possible up until the end of the Renaissance era as it was not considered consonant enough for liturgical use. Modern interpretations of the tritone tend toward representing the profane, evil, and/or sinister.*Ā
I see you David Arnold, I see you
*edited to add a more nuanced historical background
(The moment in question happens at 1:27)
ā---and so I broke up with him. It just wasnāt right, you know?ā a small sigh leaves her lips as she looks up at the person. She knew she could trust them with this bit of information - having trusted them in the past with secrets.Ā āI mean, come on. I canāt be with one when fantasizing about another. Itās just wrong. Landon will understand later, Iām sure.ā
