I know I'm probably not the only one who noticed this, but the amount of parallels Good Omens 3 contains is amazing! And the one I love the most is the soundtrack.
For example: The Biggest Decision in s2 sounds like Create Another Universe. Their titles make sense, too.
The End? in s2 sounds like In The Garden.
My point is, everyone put so much work into this show, and I am so happy with the result we got, I'm forever grateful.
After listening to the good omens finale soundtrack, something struck me. The main theme isn't there. It's in the show over the opening animation as usual, though even there it is abridged, chopped, and shortened. It just doesn't exist in the soundtrack recording.
From a Doylist view, this is probably due to time, and due to already having a main theme (plus a season 2 theme, plus the theme that got left in the car too long) on the previous albums... but it's still a little weird.
From a Watsonian perspective? All the conspiracy theorists are right and this season doesn't actually exist 😂🤡
I must be a masochist.

All I Ever Wanted
Good morning to you all, amazing souls! 🌞🖤
Some thoughts on Good Omens 3 (mostly positive). Music discussion as well! Spoilers ahead, you have been warned...
I commend everyone who had to take a story that was mostly done for about...what...6 episodes and condense it into a little over 90 minutes. That couldn't have been easy and I can easily see where things were cut down, plots that could have been explored, etc. We got a conclusion, and I really liked it. I validate everyone who is also upset, you are seen and loved. These are my feelings on the matter and how I reacted.
Let me talk about David Arnold, the composer for the ENTIRE SERIES. I LOVE the work he has done! His music has moved me almost equally so to the depth of this entire story. Below is where I was inspired to learn the music to the end credits of Season 2 called "The End?" (See my link below if you are so inclined). The piece broke me at the end of Season 2. It's mournful with the cello, longing for love to be free. Violins are mixed in, and the ascending arpegios at the end are moving toward something...planning, hoping to find a solution to this massive problem.
Looking at the title tracks for the Good Omens 3 soundtrack, there is a title towards the end called "In The Garden." As of the date of writing this (May 14, 2026) the soundtrack hasn't beem released yet. [EDIT: Soundtrack is out and it IS In The Garden]. This would match up to The Talk Crowley and Aziraphale have in private....in a bookshop with a garden created just for the 2 of them...in a universe that was destroyed all around them except for this little piece that represents Just Them. And the music? Ugh, it's THE SAME. It's basically a reprise! This is where I lost it. Ugly crying. And it's asking us to think of where we heard the music and the theme and WHY. Is this The End? Is the decision they are about to make truly going to be The End of THEM? Everything around them has already vanished...they can't save what is no longer there. If they put things back as they were, it would be a copy...and the same problems would continue to exist. The end of Season 2 we thought the same thing...is this The End for them? Decisions made were made out of love...so the Decisions made here are ALSO made from love...of humanity, of each other, of the ability for EVERYONE to choose...never needing to hide love in secret...not for angels, demons or even humanity. The Decision they need to make now is even scarier...a jump into the unknown. They make it together believing that this truly is The End of them. And yes...in a big huge way that's true, but they are also ensuring The End of a broken and corrupt system that supported ongoing fighting and war, and an inability for Crowley and Aziraphale to ever be together out in the open. They were always afraid of showing their love openly since if they were caught, death was always threatened. They couldn't go back to a world like that. So...They Decide and with love they jump into the dark...into The End. Or....The End? Because....there was ALWAYS a question mark in the title of the original composition. It's asking us to think if this is TRULY The End or not.
My belief is that no, this is not The End. Yes, in a big way it is...we aren't seeing Aziraphale and Crowley as we know them. They truly believed they were making a Godless universe...as they are asking God Herself to make it. Ah, the mysteries of life, the universe and everything. God, who just told Aziraphale about how much she loved seeing the love he has for Crowley...well, that love is so powerful that it had to have been seeded into the very fabric of that new universe. I believe that Crowley and Aziraphale's souls were so powerful, their love so strong, them working together could make something so huge that they were able to ensure they were meeting in every life whichever kinds of lifeforms, and ALWAYS finding love with each other. You know what? God Herself of course let that happen as well. (Another take is that the love was so powerful it even transcended the Will of God Herself.) Asa Fell and Anthony Crowley are just one incarnation we get to meet. And when they get old and die their souls perhaps meet again in the molecules of the universe, collect the memories and add them to perhaps a mystical book somewhere, then dive back into physical form and do it all again. It's NEVER the end for these soul mates. The End? No...way.... And THAT'S how I lost it when I heard this composition and saw the ending. That's my interpretation of it all. And the beauty of art, of music, of stories...is that everyone sees things differently. There is no right or wrong way to feel about it. We are all each unique, have a different lived experience, and that is what shapes our perception of the world and reality around us. I might make another post again but right now I have to sleep and dream of the two Ineffable beings whose love is so strong it will outlive time and space itself...
