HD screencaps from the original Oban Star Racers digital files, via Savin Yeatman-Eiffel. I don’t know if a Bluray release has been officially confirmed yet, but this is a sample of what it could look like.
Some extra production info under the cut
In 2006, Sav! The World Productions created a French-Japanese anime series called Oban Star Racers, which aired in various countries all over the world as part of Jetix/Disney programming block. Oban tells the story of Eva "Molly" Wei and how she gets caught up in an interstellar race, The Great Race of Oban, with the "Ultimate Prize" on the line.
The series garnered many fans, eager to see where else this story could go. And in February 2022, as part of the series' 15th Anniversary, creator Savin Yeatman-Eiffel launched a Kickstarter to brings the series to BIu-Ray with great success!
How successful? Full funding within the hour, and they've also reached all initial stretch goals since! So to celebrate, I decided to create a drawing with Molly and the Earth Team's Star Racer, the Whizzing Arrow.
If you’re a fan of Oban and want to see the series get a re-release, or even some new life in sequel projects, I highly recommend either checking out the Kickstarter or even spreading the word around. And if you’re new to the series, I recommend giving it a shot if you’re a fan space adventures, racing, and stories with a touch of romance and family drama.

OMG, REALLY, HAVE YOU SEEN IT? Trollololo, I haven't realized it before how actually looks Jordan's turret until today. And I thought, I know plenty of things about him... Anyway, just look. It looks comfortable but can be problematic. Remember, he usually rubs his back after some accidents or strong strain. (when he and Eva were climbing long staircase in ep. 22) And believe me, after sitting in one position in some vehicle and doing some heavy work IT causes some injuries after some time. But, on the other hand, I think that, logically, this position could be optimum to achieve good result in shooting, so... I won't argue with that. ep. 23 Molly: Are you alright? Jordan: Uh, maybe... I hurt all over... I think it was that way. Don't blame me, I'm not native English.
