Humans were unique creatures, Munkustrap learned quickly that no two were alike no matter their similarities. In that way they were like cats. But most other ways they weren’t like cats at all. And the silver tabby was always a bit wary of them, picking the ones he trusted carefully. Children for example were always to be trusted, until the started pulling his tale, young boys often lost the trust far sooner than young girls, though that wasn’t always true. But they were young, so it was forgiven and forgotten. Humans his age and older, adults maybe even teens, were where forgiveness and trust were much harder earned. Munkustrap trusted few humans, in fact the number did not go into double digits. If a human had earned his respect and trust then they had it forever, unless they did something to lose it. Munkustrap rarely if ever gave second chances. So far, no one had mishandled his trust. Then again, Munkustrap picked carefully, he was a smart cat. Perhaps too cautious, however, he wasn’t unwelcoming.

He’d been studying a certain human for a while now, something about them made his ears prick up. They were different, and he was curious. So he watched, and after a while he steadily made his way closer. He did not go all at once, but in short bursts. He found himself finally in front of the human, head tilted to the side. Eyes narrowed not in anger but in study. His eyes widened briefly seeming to find whatever he was looking for, and he moved closer, an unspoken hello, and a desire for a head scratch conveyed.
