goodbye : my muse kissing and/or hugging your muse goodbye. // from winnie !!

     OZYMANDIAS’ TIME IN THIS world was trickling day by day as the Holy Grail War took place in the background, hidden away in the shadows in such a way that no one outside of those involved, would ever know that ancient heroes walked the city among the people. There were seven, and now there were only two left; himself and his Master, and the ones who managed to make it to being their final opponents. Whether he was victorious or whether he died, one way or another, he would cease to exist in this world and would return to whence he came. It was not something that he had shared with Winnie, Ozymandias having purposely kept that information to himself up until he felt he could not any longer. How cruel it would have been, to simply disappear without so much as saying a final goodbye? Winnie deserved so much better than waiting around for someone who was gone…

     Still, he did not know when this final battle would happen, and it was for that reason he was standing before Winnie now. His fingers skimmed over the other’s cheek, brushing along sideburns as his eyes scanned the other’s face almost as if he was attempting to commit it to memory. A silly thought, he knew, even more so when the time came for him to leave, any memories he had of this place or of Winnie, would slip from him. ❝We both knew that this would happen one day. It is a shame that it had to be so soon.❞ There was still much he wanted to see with Winnie – much he wanted to SHOW him in return too – but time was such not an endless thing when it came to people. ❝I wanted to say my goodbyes early, so that you know when I no longer appear, that I am gone.❞

     Such a heavy topic; so bittersweet in its presentation. Alas, there was nothing that he could do to make it any less so, although if he could have, he would have tried. A hug would have sufficed, yet he sought to leave something ten times more precious. Leaning forward, he pressed his lips against Winnie’s – soft and chaste. He lingered only a few moments longer before releasing the other, his hand slipping away. ❝Continue to wander these old woods for as long as you are able, Winnie.❞ One day, these forests may grow smaller and smaller until they were but a memory to written about in books. He hoped that until then, Winnie was able to be as free as he wanted to be.
